I know it's slightly late but I'll put this here :) [@themerlinhawk]
Hope Patterson

~*~
Age: Appears in her mid twenties but is actually in her early 40’s. Appearance:

Hope Patterson is an approachable looking woman. Her blonde hair and hazel eyes are simply captivating for the common townsfolk. Though usually covered in specs of dirt with worn hands due to work she has fairly good hygiene and complexion, other than a few freckles here and there from being out in the sun. She is 5 foot 8, tall and slender with voluptuous curves behind frank clothing. Nothing too flashy, generally. The colors are usually dry but blunt. Simple browns and ivory with splashes of color here and there. She is the breath and stature of "The Woman Next Door" cliche. At least, to the common eye. Occupation: Hope owns one of the friendliest bars in Job. Named Four Leaf after luck it boasts a comely, inviting atmosphere. She had previously opened the bar with her husband Jon, ...but that was a long time ago. Personality: Hope is very wise and humble. Her age proves that she has definitely seen things more than the average eye suggests. Her eyes themselves have a gloss of distance in the irises, and sometimes when she stares at someone it looks as if her mind is somewhere far away. Usually it's whenever someone mentions the dead. Her dry humor is tasteful, as well as her moderately colorful choice of words and phrases. She has delicate mannerisms, however, and she is fairly loyal to her customers and passerby. The selfless woman holds herself up with a mental shell that people respect her by, especially given her melancholy background.
History
"Isn't it just tastefully extraordinary how the simple lifestyle works? It's a pattern, a simple line drawn across a piece of paper. It reminds me of watching ants in my quiet years as a child. They would crawl in a single file line, only simple tasks dinging in their conscious like a soft bell. until their line is destroyed. Humans can't handle change, yet when faced with the biggest changes I find myself stilled and silent. Maybe that's what truly makes me a monster. The fact that I can stare at the burning world with silence and all the patience of time itself. I lost my beloved and gained handfuls and handfuls of hours, days, years that I didn’t even want. Before I knew it I was drowning in years, and after marking my wall the twentieth time I found myself truly sharpened. I felt baptized with the knowledge I had obtained, so now I will paint them on every wall and corner, every face and floorboard until I find him and bring him the peace he deserves. The stillness I know he wants. ~*~ Hope Patterson was living in Job since she was born, ignorant to what was happening around her until two months after her wedding day. When finally leaving Job for the first time for their honeymoon it was cut short when Hope had returned, her husband nowhere to be seen. She returned to Job covered in a bloody gown, shaken. She hasn't talked to anyone about it since. It was almost as if he hadn't existed. Everyone knew Jon had died, but nobody except for her knew how. After twenty years had passed and the blonde bartender had shown no signs of aging they presumed her to be abmortal. Everyone says it was a blessing, but all Hope sees it as is a condition. A useless limb that only adds weight to her body. She and her husband opened the Four Leaf Bar before he had passed away, and she had been tending it ever since. People go to Hope whenever they need assistance with a ghost or other kind of specter, for she had accumulated quite a bit of knowledge on ghosts themselves. Some even call her an expert specter whisperer, able to communicate with spirits both evil and pure, to a very high degree. Mystery: Card: One
