The cons of his semblance is that his aura can only produce a limited amount of light. If he decides to use his semblance to move at a great speed, it will use all of the limited light to do so. Therefore, he can not blind enemies and then suddenly flash towards them to finish the job, nor can he create a tidal wave of light, but he can produce enough light to fill a school bus.
