Kijani tried to smile again, but failed, and then rested her head against his chest. "...you're right. I know you're right. It doesn't stop the fear, though. I guess it's a start that I can admit that I'm scared as hell, but I wish I wasn't." She sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying Connor's warmth. "I've spent years thinking I knew just who I was, and I realized that person was a lie. Right now I don't know who I am. At least you're here while I work it out." She lifted her head and stared into his eyes. "I love you, you know that?" She grinned wide, then froze when she realized what popped out of her mouth. "I mean- well, I- um... [i]Shit[/i], it's supposed to be done more romantically than that isn't it?"

"Oh!" Kassy looked a bit startled when a new person entered class and strode right to her. She smiled nervously, and took his hand after a moment of uncertainty. "Um, yes. I mean, no... I don't mind - I was beginning to feel rather strange standing up here along. I am Kassandra, clan Keigwan, I am happy to meet you. What can you do?" She figured there was no harm in asking straight out. Everyone here had some kind of ability, just like back home. She was still a bit nervous about displaying hers.
