Pippa is habitually called cute by her friends and peers and she never really knows if it's because she is good looking or if they consider her like a younger sister. She is 1.68 meters (or 5'6'' for you yanks) and weighs around 9 stones (122 lbs. Seriously America, get it together). Her hair is straight and falls to the middle of her back when it is not tied up in a messy ponytail. Her hair is blonde in color (yes, that is her real hair color!). She has gray eyes thanks to her grandfather. She also wears glasses and has two pairs: one a small, silver wire frame and one with a dark brown frame. She does own contacts that she will wear, on occasion.

Her skin is white with a few blemishes, quickly covered up by make-up. She has a slender frame. Her chest is a C-cup and she has a decent size bum, though she thinks her thighs are a bit fat. She doesn't have any muscle definition as she does not like working out. She typically wears simple make-up: foundation, blush, eyeliner, and lip gloss, unless the situation calls for a more drastic look. Her hair, as mentioned already, is usually tied up in a tail, but depending on what she is doing, it can be down. When her hair is tied up, she is usually in work mode.

Her sense of style isn't great. On a typical day, she will wear sweaters, t-shirts, blouses, and tank tops along with jeans and tights. She will usually wear sneakers or boots. In terms of jewelry, she doesn't go for flashy. The nice pair of earrings, a bracelet, and a necklace. If the need arises, Pippa does own some more...intense clothing options, like skimpy dresses, skirts, and high heels.

In order to do her job correctly and to make sure she doesn't get any backlash (or a lot of backlashes) from it, she is a fantastic researcher. She is able to gloss over newspapers, magazines, web articles, reference guides, and other materials with ease to find the bits of information she needs. A quick web search nets her a variety of results that others may have missed. The truth is usually hidden well and Pippa is able to dig it out with a few keystrokes.

Pippa has a kind air about her and others find it very easy to talk to her. This allows for her to comfort and console, but also weasel information out of others that police or authority figures may have trouble getting. She has kind words or harsh wisdom to give out depending on the situation. Some may call it persuasion, but Pippa refers to it as the "soft shoulder" touch.

In order to have substantial evidence to back up what she reports on, Pippa will need pictures since a picture is worth a thousand words. To that end, Pippa has worked hard to master the art of photography. Whether it is with her digital camera or even her cell phone, she is able to take clear pictures with minimal effort. She can take a picture and edit it to the finest detail to get a clear, concise image to show whatever detail she wants. It may take a long time of sitting at her computer, but the end result is usually worth it when her stories go over well. She saved up enough to buy an amazing camera and all the fluff to come with it to give her an edge.

Able to blend into any situation she comes across. Whether it is that bumbling intern at the latest tech start-up, the sultry vixen having a cosmo at the bar, or the cat lady picking up her feed at the grocery store, Pippa is able to get into many places and that, in turn, makes for some great articles and blog postings. Does she have an endless supply of clothes at the disposal or can she literally transform herself like some alien walking among men? Who can really say apart from Pippa?

One look at Pippa and you may see a shy, reserved girl. What with her framed glasses, oversized sweater, and messy hair. However, nothing could be further for the truth. Pippa is a [b][color=FC9ABE]determined[/color][/b] individual and that seeps into her job. With a strong drive to find out the truth, she can be too [b][color=FC9ABE]curious[/color][/b] for her own good, often getting into situations out of her control. This doesn't deter her from pursuing any leads she finds. Many would call her [b][color=FC9ABE]stubborn[/color][/b] and they would be right.


Pippa cares deeply about her family and friends, but she also cares about the people around her. One of her biggest fears is losing a loved one, so she keeps a careful eye about her, especially with what she does for her job. An [b][color=FC9ABE]optimist[/color][/b] to the core, despite the corruption and danger she sees from other people, she prefers to remain [b][color=FC9ABE]friendly[/color][/b] and [b][color=FC9ABE]respectful[/color][/b] to others.

Pippa is not afraid to get her hands dirty, though. In order to do some of the things she has done, she needed to be [b][color=FC9ABE]brave[/color][/b]. She detests people who try to get the better of others and makes it her mission to showcase the truth, even if it has harsh consequences. She loves writing and taking photos and there's no better job out there that combines her love of those with finding the truth out. She doesn't tolerate liars but has been known to be [b][color=FC9ABE]forgiving[/color][/b] if she feels they are truly repentative.

Above all, she has a strong moral code and is [b][color=FC9ABE]driven[/color][/b] in her cause. She has a soft spot for children and wishes to make the world a bit better for them to grow up in. She sees a lot of herself in her little niece.

[u][b]Childhood[/b][/u]
Pippa was born to William and Carmella McKinnely on December 1st, 1991. The family was pretty well off with her father, a hard-working lawyer, handling most financial transactions. Carmella was happy to be a stay at home mother to her two daughters. Regina didn't take to her younger sister at first, but slowly the girls got along fairly well. Pippa was always curious and she loved to explore. She especially loved going into her parent's bedroom and snooping through her mother's closet to try on her pretty dresses and shoes. Though Carmella never got angry often, whenever she found Pippa in her closet she would get extremely mad and scold the girl and force her into her room without supper. Pippa usually didn't let it bother her, but would find herself going back in there, much to the reluctance of her sister.

Pippa absolutely loved her father. She was truly a daddy's girl. William did right by her in almost every regard. Her father passed along his love for the law and the country and told his daughter, to tell the truth, even if it hurt. Though she would lie occasionally, the guilt would take over often and she would confess, especially if she saw a look of disappointment on her father's face. 

One evening while their father was out and their mother was "entertaining" her gentlemen friend, Pippa snuck back into her mother's closet. In a few minutes, Carmella came in with her friend and Pippa quickly closed the door. She heard her mother and the other guy doing something in the bedroom, so she decided to peek. What she saw burned an image in the poor girl's mind as her mother began kissing the man and undressing. She screamed and ran out. Carmella ran after the girl and scolded her as she violently dragged the girl back to her room. She told Pippa to not tell her father anything. The guilt of it weighed too heavily on the young girl's mind to where she couldn't keep quiet and she told her father what she saw. William looked devastated at the news and his advice was never more clear than at that moment: sometimes the truth hurt.

William took the girl's away and he and Carmella got a divorce. They moved to a smaller flat and he did his best to raise his daughters by himself. It was hard and they were often left in the care of a babysitter or neighbor, but he was still proud of his little girl for telling the truth. When she came in one night, tears running down her face, she told him she felt bad that he and mommy got a divorce and it was her fault. He comforted her and told her that it wasn't. The truth was still important, no matter what. He was proud of her and that's all she needed.

Pippa grew up into a young woman, much to her father's dismay and took to school with a vengeance. She dove into her studies and earned top marks in every subject. Teacher's loved her, but other students mocked her. She was often called a goody-two-shoes or a brown noser, among other colorful names, but she didn't let it bother her. She didn't date much, but one boy asked her out. He was considered one of the cooler kids in school. She would be a fool not to accept. The boy, named Albert, took her out with a few of his friends. They went to someone's home where they raided the liquor cabinet. She felt weird doing it, but she went along with it. It got out of hand when the other tweens started introducing drugs into the mix. Despite the pressure, Pippa removed herself and called the parents of the girl's whose house they were in. They quickly came and the children were reprimanded. The next day on her locker were the words [b]Nosy Little Bitch[/b] written in red. She wasn't afraid, she continued to go to school even though her father wanted to take her out. She decided to take it head on. Eventually, rumors about her died down, but she was still never considered to be cool, and that fit her just fine.

A career counselor at her school talked with her to decide what career she wanted. At the time she was interested in becoming part of the police force with eyes on being a detective, perhaps working in MI6. The counselor referred her to a few schools to continue her education at. Her teachers (and father) urged her to pursue law so she decided to apply. The University of Buckingham returned her application and asked for her to go there. She accepted and was whisked off to college. She quickly took to her studies in Law. With all the hard work, she needed a break. For some fun, she took some journalism classes and fell in love with the subject. It was there she met Victoria and the two, despite clear differences, became fast friends.

Victoria asked her out to a party someone was throwing and Pippa reluctantly agreed. She felt a bit out of place, but she drank a bit and found herself having fun. Other guys were paying attention to her, she was talking and interacting with her peers about other things despite her studies, and she was having a blast. One guy was interested in Victoria and wouldn't leave her alone. Despite her attempts to move on, he didn't budge. The guy handed her a drink and begged her to stay to talk, just for a few minutes. Victoria agreed and drank with the guy. She didn't realize until it was too late that he drugged her. Pippa, worried about her friend, went to her and the guy brushed her off, saying she was tired and he would take her home. Pippa didn't like it one bit and followed the two of them. Instead of taking her home, he took her back to his place where he proceeded to bring her inside. Pippa gout out of her car and demanded she take Victoria home. The man got angry and violent, pulling out a knife. He told Pippa to back off or he would cut her friend up. Pippa pleaded with the man to let her friend go. Victoria managed to get some clarity back and punched the man. Pippa sprung into action, tackling the man and getting the knife away from him. He clawed at her, but she got one good clock into his face. Afterward, she called the police and he was taken away. That cemented whatever budding friendship the two girls had.

Pippa continued her education, but she switched her area of study. Journalism called her and she wanted to focus on it. She still wanted the criminal justice aspect of the job and kept Law as a minor. Her father agreed with her decision, not knowing the gears inside her head were turning to what would eventually be an interesting career for the girl.

[u][b]Recent Events[/b][/u]

Victoria and Pippa moved to London where they got a flat together. Victoria landed a job in a magazine studio while Pippa struggled to find her footing. She picked up random freelance jobs, but it wasn't until she struck gold that she decided on making it her career to investigative journalism. She, along with an unnamed source, struck a blow to a high ranking official in the courts, a friend of her father's, who was dealing with some shady business on the side. She published her piece and it caught acclaim in the right circles. Deciding to go into business for herself, she began putting her work out in her blog and taking on jobs from interested parties. She worked hand-in-hand with the police on occasion and even appeared on TV once. Her father worries, her sister worries, and her young niece wants to be just like her. What could go wrong?

The men and women have sometimes served jail time, but there are others who haven't. Some may be more inclined to take some revenge on the nosy reporter.
-Party girl Victoria winds up in some precarious predicaments, but this time she got in over her head when her latest fling ends up dead, with her as the prime suspect! The only person she feels she can call on is Pippa who she knows will delve into the truth, because she [i]obviously[/i] didn't kill him!
-A highly affluent politician is the target of her latest report, but the backlash Pippa could receive may be too much for her to handle. He has some interesting skeletons in his closet and may not want them shown by any means necessary.
-Really any story she picks up could potentially be plot gold.
