It was surprising to find her being so… so causal about holding his hand. Her small hand slipped perfectly into his large one and he felt his heart pound in his chest. Normally it was him who made the initial effort to hold her hand and now, now it just seemed common. A shiver crawled up his spine as he intertwined his fingers with hers. Even just the small path from the apartment to the car was a nice little walk. Holding the door open for her, he let her get inside before shutting the door and going around the front. Soon he was in the driver’s seat taking them into town. One hand was on the wheel and the other had taken hers as if it was the most natural thing in the world. When she pointed out the shop he needed, “As you wish.” He responded sweetly before properly turning the car around and heading back to the direction of the café. Upon arriving he got out of the car and held the door open for her. Again, her hand went straight to his and she even slid her fingers through his hands. And once again, his heart pounded in his chest. Then she asked the question about what he would need her for today (Sunday). “Oh…” He shook his head, pulling himself out of his thoughts before he responded as he opened the door to the little café. “My mid-term is a partner project in building a meal based on a country and in order to get the best grade my partner and I need to make sure it tastes good and the way we want it to. Would you be willing to be a taste tester for us? Also…” He said, his voice sounding soft and almost embarrassed, “I would like to spend a bit more time with you.”
