I'm a turn by turn gamer as my preferred style so finding Persona 4 is a blessing because turn fighting is hard to find.

Though it seems like everything holds its own story so you don't have to play them in order. 
Which is a relief to hear. 

I am not a fan of no auto save or the fact that your character, just yours, dies and the game is over. You don't get the option to return to the same battle and that's very lacking...
