Unmarked Spoilers ahead, proceed at your own risk. [@Lugubrious] Actually it seems like Sun used all his aura to maintaining his semblance. You can tell because shortly before he fell there was that shattering break thing around his body, and then he got stabbed. The same thing happens to Qrow and Tyrian which was why Qrow was able to get poisoned and Tyrian got his tail cut off. And yeah as for the story telling it felt incredibly slow pace. I get that RWBY doesn't have the tradition 30/22 minute episodes most shows have, but goddamn like Qrow these guys take way too fucking long to explain shit before everything goes to hell. I get that with his semblance being bad luck and the cell towers going down he can't stick around long or just give Ruby a text, but if he's going to shadow them and take all the action he may as well be more fourth coming with it. It just feels like uneasisary drama for the sake of adding more obstacles in the plot. As for the rest of former band mates if Team RWBY, it's aight I guess. Yang still kinda feels meh to me, I get the angst and I did like the whole "your power is a temper tantrum" deconstruction talk her dad gave, but like dealing with actual depressed people there wasn't really anything anyone could do but keep babysitting her until she got out of her rut. I do like how Weiss developed, but I'm disappointed in the Schnee family as a whole since they ended up being an almost comically stereotypical corrupt airstocrats everyone turns into bad guys. Mom is useless, dad is evil, younger brother is a annoying twat, and the only useful person around is the butler/replacement father figure. Did like Ironwood a bit more though. I feel like he wound be a lot like what Gren could be if he was more reasonable and human. Blake's story is a definate love/hate. Obviously because I play Gren, I am very much interested in how Faunus life is and the origins of the White Fang. That being said when it turns out she's the daughter of the former leader of Them White Fang and pretty much the leader of the community, kinda felt like Blake turned into Naruto. I had hopes that she was something like an orphan or was actually abused by humans but still wanted to live in peace, joined the Fang to defend herself and try to achieve her dream, only for that to break during the Black Trailer. But seeing that her parents are alive and well now I just think she is like a spoiled but politically active rich girl who, while willing to slum it with the lower class and gangsters, had a bit of a rose tinted view of what they're actually all about. Yet despite that I actually do like this "taking over the White Fang" approach she wants to do in the end. Pretty much what Gren would want to do too, and assuming she actually has made character development and is willing to stop fucking fleeing when shit goes south, Gren may even be inclined to work with her. What I am most disappointed in though was the lack of information about the other characters. I get it that some like the teams fighting from outside of Vale likely wouldn't get much screen time for at all, I wanna know what happened to Team CFVY. Like shit, isn't the Fall of Beacon more or less like that one mission they came back too? I wanna see what they've been up too. That being said what's up with Oscar? I mean I get it, he has tone the new Oz and whatever but you'd think they would have used this chance to give one of the other characters screen time. Hell, give it to Jaune so someone can give him a stern talking to when he starts bitching out. Though I do like his upgrade. Train sword and shield for a bigger sword is right up my alley, and I'm pretty sure that's pretty much what Shiro does. Once bit by bit, official RWBY canon makes this rp more legit.
