"I'm Nico, by the way. I don't think I caught your name... and well, uh... you're seeing those winged little people too, right?" "I know who you are...well...now..." Her voice was raw. Caity wiped tears from her eyes. She hated throwing up. But then, who liked it? "Since I'd rather not forever be thought of as 'the puking girl', I'm Caity." She knew she sounded a little put out, but things were a bit much right now. "Oh, good, we're having the same hallucination then. Think we both got a batch of really bad coffee beans?" Nico chuckled, glad that he could, at least, have a decent conversation in this hallucination... or whatever it was they were in. "Don't sweat it. Everyone pukes," he flashed her a grin. "Caity," he repeated. "Nice name..." he complimented. He would have said something more if not for the soft tap on his shoulder. "Hey, what's going on?" Nico turned towards the voice and found himself staring into a familiar face. He had seen her in several Hollywood parties before. The uniqueness of her appearance made it easy to recognize her and difficult to forget her. Although try as he might, he couldn't quite remember her name. All the same, he smiled at her and then shrugged. "I have no idea," he answered truthfully. "You guys....you guys are seeing the same stuff right? Fair folk, forest all that crazy?" he heard the shirtless man ask next, panic evident in his voice. "Yeah, I'm guessing we're all seeing the same things," he replied, wondering in passing why he was wet. He turned back just in time to see a blue butterfly approach. Nereia? Cladarat? Queen Erissa and King Cirrus? Seriously? Is this some of prank? he looked around. If it is, this is one heck of a prank... but... his mind scrambled for some sort of explanation and so far, being pranked seemed the most plausible.
[sub]"What in the bloody blazes! Are you all okay with this?! Is no one here GENUINELY FREAKING THE FUCK OUT RIGHT NOW. Like I'm pretty sure this is a FREAK THE FUCK OUT SITUATION."[/sub]
The voice filtered through the haze of thoughts that swirled in Caity's brain. She looked around - it was the pantless man from earlier, who was thankfully wearing pants now. And...a dog. Great. She couldn't help but think he had a point - it was a freak out situation. Still, freaking out in public had never been something she had wanted to do. "Yeah, really bad coffee beans..." Nico muttered as he looked around more. There were no cameras. And while he expected his camera crew to be peeking at how he was reacting from behind the trees, he couldn't see any of them. And a dog...there was a dog. He knew the staff loved teasing him but why would these nutjobs include a dog? Caity nodded in agreement. It was the most reasonable explanation. After all, how was she going to believe that they had really been transported to a different place? A place with, of all things, fairies? It couldn't be real. It wasn't as if their lives were being written by a fantasy author. They weren't just characters in a story. But she had also never seen the majority of these people before. And if this was some hallucination, why would she dream up people she didn't know? Caity couldn't make sense of it. Which might mean it wasn't some hallucination after all. "I have never wanted to be hallucinating more in my life..." She cleared her throat and nodded to the fairy that had made the announcement. "I guess we follow the coffee fairy?" Nico turned his attention back to Caity. "I think we need to consider the fact that we might not be hallucinating at all. I mean..." he reached out and pinched her cheek. "You feel that right?" he asked. "Ow." She pushed his hand away. "Yeah, I felt it. You pinch cheeks like someone's great-aunt." Caity added the last part in a mutter as she rubbed her cheek. "Someone's great aunt... heh. This is the first time I ever got that comment," Nico chuckled as he continued looking around, narrowing his eyes at the trees and still trying to spot the crew that weren't really there. "This might actually be the work of...Howell...gotta give credit to the guy. This place looks fantastic. If I'm doing a fantasy movie, this will definitely fit as its setting," he chattered distractedly, still hung up on the only explanation that seemed logical to him and completely forgetting his usual discreetness about his identity. "I'm not sure why he'd bring in other people though. I mean, I recognize some of the faces here..." he glanced towards Maine and Caterina. "But yeah, you're right. We should probably follow the...coffee fairy," he chuckled at the impromptu moniker his new friend gave the blue fairy. "I hope we can get some coffee at least. I left mine back at the library." "I just don't want to admit this might be...well...real." Caity said as they trudged after the fairy. Well, Caity trudged - Nico was just as light on his feet as one would expect a movie star to be. "And yes please to the coffee. My thermos is at work... and what I did drink, well..." It was on the ground somewhere behind them. With the appearance of the cabins, Caity raised a brow. She still didn't want to believe that this was real, but the prospect of having a place suited to her was appealing. "Okay, if there's no coffee in my fantasy fairy house, but coffee in yours, I want you to share." The movie star flashed Caity a grin. "Feel free to stop by my house anytime. It's just next door," he said as he headed to the house right next to hers. As far as movie stars went - as far as males went - Nico wasn't half bad. Caity rubbed the cheek where he pinched, and went into her own 'house'.
