Born in the Russin city Vladivostok alongside her identical twin Natasha. Varya was raised in loving caring family. As children, Varya and her sister shared a very close bond and very rarely seen apart from one another. The two doing nearly everything together. Be it good or bad. Growing up Varya parents made sure to do everything possible the sisters had a good upbringing and where good little girls. Sadly for Varya's and Natasha's parents, those efforts didn't bear fruit a the sisters from a young age loved nothing more than pulling pranks and picking fights. 

Varya parents desperate to get their kids under control before they ended up being arrested or killed tried everything to get the girls to behaviour. Tried everything but had little luck so in 2015 now aged now 13 parents tried one last effort to get the girls under control sent Natasha to live with her grandparents in had moved to Neo Bay City when it was taken over by a Japanese security firm they held jobs with.

This separation bred a lot resentment in Varya who continued to misbehave. Even with both her parents now able to focus on her and try to put her back on the right path. It took most of Varya time in high school and military youth program and some very harsh parenting. To put Varya on the right path, who graduated in 2020 with some of the highest marks for her year. The now 18-year-old Varya now a somewhat well-behaved law abiding citizen.

Having finished school, Varya decided to join a Japanese owned security firm's private army. During her training, she impressed her instructors with her high level of marksmanship, both thanks to her time in the military youth program and raw natural talent. She was offered training as a sniper after a short stint as a basic soldier. Seeing no harm in taking the training having found life as grunt quite unsatisfying. It was during the company's brutal sniper training she found her calling. 

Once she passed her training, Varya found herself staying with the security firm until 2024. In that time she participated in multiple small skirmishes with rival companies all over the world. Merely going where ever she was sent. She even spent some time in Latin America when war was declared by the Latin America's drug cartels. But, as 2024 dawned Varya found herself struggling to take pleasure or pride in her job. So when on leave in Neo City, visiting her sister. She quit her job and moved in with her sibling, liking Neo Bay City, despite its problems. Who over the years had become a police officer following in her grandfather's footsteps.

While living Natasha. Varya took an interest in her sibling's line of work. Finding the idea of being a cop appealing after probing Natasha about. Working to protect the community and uphold law and order sounded nice to Varya. Much better than working for some company's bottom line where law and order merely by-products. Thinking it might be interesting and be a good fresh start she applied to the Neo City police. And due to her experience, she was offered a job a police sniper. Provided she passed the police academy. Using her sister to help her, Varya did so quickly.

Although her time as a cop was short, Varya enjoyed being a police sniper, although she often complained about the pay. It was that during that time she meet a one Ray 'Mack' Yancy and the two became very well acquainted (need to work out) As the police force was dissolved Varya, helped Yancy campaign to get their jobs back. However having no luck, Varya found herself going back to the security firm that first trained her. Working for them as a training instructor in Neo Bay City. Only sniping for them if they needed a sniper in Neo Bay or in Russia 
Varya finding no job in her work. But, having little choice as without a job she couldn't feed herself.

Over the next year, she watched Yancy develop a drinking problem, often sharing a drink with him. But, after a year she simply stopped talking to him. During that four-year period, Varya did a little vigilante work. Picking off some criminals, as it reminded her of the short time as a police sniper and it amused her. 

In 2031, when approached to join the C.O.P.S. Varya eagerly accepted once it was explained to her, although was a little hesitant about working with Yancy.
