His hands firmly grasped her shoulders, Ren's face lighting up a vivid and cherry red as he showered her with compliments upon compliments. Shyn, on the other hand, took to the compliments quite well, and gave Joshua a confident wink, before looking back over at Pikachu as though to say "See?". It took Ewan's warning far too long for Ren to process, and just as she was about to step away, Joshua had returned. He offered a rather nice-looking hairpin, and though Ren was hesitant in taking it, his insistence won her over. She also felt that if she complied with him sooner, the whole ordeal would be over with a lot quicker. Though she felt she had no escape, she couldn't help but feel a little more at-ease after Ewan's explanation, his calmness acting as the perfect medium between his eccentric friend and their emotionally inept comrade.
