Personality:
Fairly blank, as far as people go. Due to his nature as a hybrid Helios and his "siblings" have been kept as fairly classified information for a large part of their lives, leaving them only with the rigid structures of the military. Helios is a soldier through and through, discipline and duty making up nearly every fibre of his being and showing through his every action. He likes having a schedule, a plan for the day that he can follow reliably, and is put out of his comfort zone if given "free time" out of the blue. Though one can't blame him really, he grew up around scientists and generals... not exactly known for being free spirits and party animals.

In combat Helios follows a list of procedures and guidelines but does not adhere to them blindly, always open for adapting in the face of a new foe. It is these principles that he tries to bring into social interaction as the time for him to "go public" nears, with only the more convoluted of human emotions and social quirks eluding him.

History:

[i]Nova-1 and Physical Abilities[/i]: Nova-1 stands at 40 meters and is bedecked with alien technologies that have been salvaged, retrofitted, and reverse engineered from a massive spacecraft that landed on Earth eons ago. In truth many of the sciences behind Nova-1 are little understood, left in the hands and minds of Helios' engineer brothers and sisters.

Black Sun Reactor- Salvaged and reverse engineered from the reactor of the original spacecraft, this reactor contains the power of a small star. The Black Sun Reactor's science isn't fully understood, having to work on half translated texts and several minor conflicts with the basics of physics, but ultimately it serves it's purpose as a nearly unlimited power source with only a small chance of radiation leak strong enough to choke half of China.

Nanocrystalline Alloy Plating- Incredibly strong, impossibly light, and a hell of a thing to produce, NAP is nonetheless one of the best building material in known history if you can get past it's difficult production process. Most of the material was salvaged and repurposed from existing machinery onboard the Promethean ship.

[i]Relic[/i]- Carbon dating places the age of this weapon in the billions of years, far older than the ship it was found on and [i]much[/i] older than the one who now wields it. Relic is half as large as Nova-1, about 20 meters in total length. It's edge is impossibly sharp, cut at absolute angles and with no visible blunting on a molecular level. Stranger still the length of the blade crackles with an energy with no visible source, multicolored lightning dancing in an alien pattern.

Icarus Flight System- The IFS allows Nova-1 to fly and dodge about the battlefield, working in tandem with Helios' swordplay in a deadly and almost elegant dance. In emergencies the IFS can be overclocked and released, turning the thrusters into powerful missiles as they quickly meltdown and explode at the obvious cost of flight.

Aegis- Built into the left arm is a buckler created from dense NAP plates that doubles as the holding space for Nova-1's shielding technology. The Aegis system is particularly good at dispersing energy attacks, most of which are harmlessly dissipated once they hit the field. Kinetic attacks are tougher, but manageable. The only real downside is that the shielding technology is centralized towards the buckler, meaning that Nova-1's back is nearly always exposed to sneak attacks.

Thermic Lance: Built just under the buckler, the Thermic Lance is the only real ranged weapon in Nova-1's arsenal. Working on technology that most likely was mining equipment the Thermic lance is able to penetrate most armors and flesh but only at a close range, usually as a gap closer as Nova-1 charges into battle. The barrel can be lengthened, shortened, or even disconnected at will.

Hybrid Physiology: Helios is a hybrid, spliced with DNA found within the Promethean ship. This was necessary because no human brain at this point in evolution could handle the sheer amount of data required to even start beginning to understand the sciences behind the Promethean technology. In this vein a generation of children were spliced up to be scientists and engineers and raised to study. Just as luck would have it Kaiju began to raise from the deep and many other dangers started popping up, prompting GDF handlers to switch gears from general study to warfare. One of these results was Helios, the first of his kind of hybrid pilots. His body is much stronger, more resiliant, and able to process information much more faster and efficiently than a normal human, all needed for the integration required to pilot a mech Nova-1's size. Once integrated Nova-1 and Helios might as well be one being as Nova-1's eyes are his eyes, it's weapons his own, it's pain his own.
