What… That’s not funny..!” At the sound of the voice, Zoé snapped her head back around, her brilliant red eyes baring down into the girl’s as a warning. She knew Cassandra… knew she meant no harm with what she had said to her; but it was still a challenge… and one she couldn’t take lightly as an alpha. Curling her clawed fingers ever so slightly tighter over the end of the now empty bed, she kept her gaze locked with the girl; refusing to back down as she stood her ground as the dominant one in the room. All other voices, gentle as they were, were pushed to the side as she stared her down, the two locked in some sort of competition, and it was clear to all who the winner of it was going to be. She was an alpha… the ‘head dog’ if you wanted to put it another way; and while she hated using her status over others, there were times when there honestly just wasn’t any other way. “What is going on?!” “..I said enough, Cassandra…” Her voice was soft… dangerous as she spoke, her bright red eyes never once leaving the girl, though she made it clear enough that she was speaking out to all in the room with them. She’d had enough… by God, she was going to need a drink or two, or five, or maybe even a keg later on; and by the looks of both Quinton and Xerxes, she wasn’t the only one. She’d been right when she had messaged Alder about wanting to work an extra shift. It was definitely going to be good money for him tonight. Finally tearing her eyes away from the girl, she let her bright red iris’ glide through the room, coming to a stop on each and every individual, taking in their expressions… their emotions… their heartbeat… the male siren giving off a particularly terrified vibe, though she could hardly blame him. Before tonight, all but two in the room had known her as nothing more than a human; the cheerful, and happy woman who ran the local bar, and who employed a good majority of them… now here she stood with glowing eyes, fangs sharp enough to tear their throats out, and claws that could help her rip the door off a truck and bend bars without too much effort. She knew for a fact that all of this was strange… but it was also something they were all going to have to get used to now that they were a part of her world. Majority of the pups had calmed down… Gage was no longer on the verge of lashing out, instead focused on the young siren held in Xerxes arms; much like his brother Aron seemed to be focusing on the young Cody sitting closely beside him- that was two… Turning her head slightly, Zoé’s eyes flicked across to the two standing close to where she was; the other two that had fought alongside herself and Quinton against the other alpha. The two that had been defending the group when they had first arrived. And with them; that made three. Great. Imprinted pups. This was going to make things a lot more interesting; though whether it was going to help or hinder them, she wasn’t sure yet. “Everyone is here.” The words were muffled into the background, though she still managed to hear them; acknowledging her beta’s words with a single though definitive nod of her head as she once more turned her eyes to the group in front of her. These teens were about to have their whole world shattered… everything they ever knew; everything they ever believed was about to be thrown upside down, and be torn apart in front of their very eyes. “..everything you think you know about this world… forget it. Because there is a whole ‘nother side to life that you have never seen… one that we’ve tried so hard to keep you from finding out about…” Sighing softly, Zoé lifted her hand up, running her sharply clawed fingers back through her long dark locks in slight frustration, the thought of ‘what if she had gotten there sooner’ flashing across her mind causing a soft and almost inaudible angered growl to slip through her lips and into the air, “..I wasn’t quick enough to stop this; and now your all paying the price for my mistake… and for that you have my apologies…” Shooting a quick glance behind her to make sure the door was closed, she turned her attention over to Quinton, passing him the bed she was still holding onto so that he could move it out the way as she stepped forward, making sure she had all eyes on her before she continued on, “All but two of you are healed, aren’t you..? No pain… no injuries… and you know deep down, that you feel better than you ever have before in your entire lives… A wolf attack doesn’t leave you like that. It leaves you like this.” Hating herself for doing it, Zoé motioned to the two sirens, pointing out the fact that neither of them had reacted to the attack like the others had, “..but you all know that; and you also know that wolves, even while in packs, won’t attack large groups like this one did. Like I said before, the world you know is over, and it’s time you all knew the truth. Klamath Falls is what’s known as a beacon… one that draws the strange and unnatural to it. One that draws the supernatural to it. What attacked you tonight is known as a werewolf; an alpha. I’m one of them, and I know for a fact that some of your friends here aren’t what they seem to be either…”
