Marcy One minute Marcy was joking with Hunter and singing along to the radio; the next, she was screaming Hunter's name in terror as the car barreled towards them. It happened too quick for her to move. Otherwise, she would have tried to protect Hunter, but it was no use. The windshield and mirrors shattered loudly as the glass struck them. She cried out in pain as it pierced her skin all over. The car flipped twice, causing her to scream with terror as tears filled her eyes. This was not happening! This had to be a nightmare... She wailed in pain as she was tossed around the car like a toy, banging her head against the passenger door. The noise was ear deafening. She would never in her lifetime forget the way it sounded. She slumped in her seat once it was over. She stared blankly ahead of her, drenched in blood. Her hair was matted with glass and debris and the airbag was in her face. She tried to move but her body wouldn't allow her. The shattered mirror ahead of her told her that Hunter had passed out. She spoke, her but no sound came out. The pain allover her body paralyzed her. Marcy sobbed hysterically with shock. Hunter. - Was Hunter dead? Oh God. No. She willed him to be safe on the grass, out of this mess. Before she saw anything, her vision went dark and hazy and her head fell against the seat. What she didn't notice was that Hunter was indeed laying on the grass instead of the car.
Persephone The unexpected thud and glass shattering caused Persephone to jump out of her seat and dive under the table. She curled up, terrified. She saw the glass in her mind's eye, the scream of her parent's, and then Rose hiding in the closet. She remained like that for several minutes, processing everything. She shook uncontrollably on the floor with hiccups and sobs. However, the screams she heard presently were unfamiliar. Xavier had tensed and grabbed Rose and held her tightly to him. When nothing happened in the house, she glanced around. Her siblings weren't yelling. She frowned and crawled out from underneath and over to the window and gasped. There was a vehicle in the street flipped over. A girl was in the car, passed out; on the grass laid an injured young man. She inhaled and ran out of the house quickly. She didn't know what she was doing; all she knew was if she didn't leave the house now, she would breakdown. When she arrived on the scene, she saw the group of teens from earlier nearby. A brown haired boy was wailing and sobbing as he tried to pull pout the girl. She watched, though her mind was reeling. It was like a movie; she wasn't in control of her own movements. Her body wasn't real to her and she felt as if she were watching from above, now in front. She ran over and pulled the boy away with shocking strength. "You can't move her; you could break her body or kill her." He stared at her with the sweetest brown eyes she had ever seen. She gently, or in her mind anyway pulled him away. Persephone didn't realize she had used super-strength or even possessed it. "Call 911. That's how you can help her," The boy sniffled and ran over to the curb where he plopped down and began his hysterical phone call to 911. Persephone watched a tall dark-haired girl run over and join him. After a few moments, she checked his pulse. The tears in her eyes caused it to be difficult for her to see, since she kept blinking. Her hands shook as she gripped the young man's wrist. "He's alive," The boy she had sat beside earlier sighed in relief despite his sobs. She hadn't noticed, but Xavier had his hand on her shoulder and was staring at the wreck. She cringed when she felt the pressure and slide away from him. He sighed, letting his hand fall away. Persephone stared at him and noticed he looked paler. The fear in his eyes for these teens and his shock at the incident were clear. He had wanted nothing but peace but wasn't getting any of it. He went over to the car as crowds gathered from the neighborhood. She was willing the girl back to life. Voices filled the air around her but she couldn't hear them. Orbs of light were filling the scene, though nobody was paying much attention; or so she thought. It felt like years before they went away and there was silence. The only sounds were the wind rustling through the trees and the group crying. She looked around and stumbled. The scene materialized in front of her eyes and was staring directly at it. Persephone flinched and found people were not only staring at the car wreck, but her face. She quickly ducked her head and moved to the other side so she was out of view to the majority.
James James' world was crashing down around him. It had gone black and white. He was barley able to hold the phone and tell the dispatcher about the accident. Once he managed to sob it out, he began to hyperventilate. He laid on his side, bawling. His sister and best friend might die. He refused to move and held his knees. Shay was beside him, comforting him with her sweet voice; though her words didn't add together in his head. He clutched his sides, begging Jason to come over. He needed to know he was safe. If he lost him too... When the siren wails pierced his ears, eh flinched and sat up. Help was on the way... Marcy or Hunter were not going to die. He watched as Marcy's slumped figure slid a few inches in her seat without her control. He let out a gasp and squinted through tears. Had she... No. He watched as she eventually began to stir feebly, but didn't open her eyes. He inhaled sharply and numbly stood up, but his knees unbuckled. He hit the ground and trembled. "Marcy, Hunter," His voice was shaky and hoarse. "Please don't die." The blonde-scar-faced girl from earlier glanced over at him. "They're alive. Don't worry." He stared at her and jumped in surprise. How did she know? He opened his mouth but the words came out unintelligible from his crying. "I saw them both move." It looked at is she wouldn't properly answer the question, or was hesitated. He wasn't certain nor did he care. They were alive. She was confirming it..His focus was broken as the ambulances, cops, and fire trucks. They began ordering people away, though he refused to move. He watched shakily as the EMT's began to assist Marcy and Hunter. The rest was a blur; once Marcy was out of the car, he let out a scream of shock. She was covered in blood, had multiple broken bones or so it appeared. He started to sob again and run over madly. In the corner of his eye, he saw Hunter being helped too. Shay was following his stretcher and holding his hand tightly "That's my sister. Our sister." The EMT nodded to him and allowed him in the ambulance. Inside it, they began to hook her up to equipment and ordered him to stay out of the way. He stood in the back with his head buried in his hands, miserable.
