Hate is a path to the dark-side. They are not one and the same." - Sa Tomar

-Basic Data- Full Name: Sa Tomar Homeworld: Cathar Born: 109 BBY (Aged 58)
-Physical Information- Species: Cathar Gender: Male Physical Features: Sa Tomar stands at a fairly imposing 6'2. His height, coupled with his bulky physique makes him out to be perhaps the most intimidating of the Jedi currently on the council. His body is dotted with wounds and scars from previous battles, but the majority are masked by his thick black fur, which is decorated with jets of white. Tomar has the face of a beast, gnarling fangs, striking blue eyes and a grizzled, fur-lined jaw. Despite this, he tends to keep a very professional and calm expression upon his face - although this side of him will quickly fade in battle, where he will enter a purely battle-focused state of mind and his inner Cathar will be unleashed upon those around him. Sa Tomar tends to wear less restrictive clothing, only wearing his full robing when in the presence of the council, opting for a more combat-orientated attire when in action. Cybernetics & Injuries: A great deal of battle scars. Many of the wounds he has sustained would not have been so easily survived for most species, but due to the Cathar's hardy nature he lives on without any disabilities or cybernetics.
-Jedi Temple Records- Role in the Jedi Order: Master. Seat on the High Council. Jedi General. Master: Fuaq Prul, a long since deceased Quarren Jedi. Apprentice: Mace Windu Skills & Abilities: Although he has never truly found pure balance, Sa Tomar has, for many years, worked to try and reach a certain level of emotional control. Because of this he can channel passion, anger, and other such "dark side" emotions, without completely straying from the light. He still fails to perfect this, but it puts him at an advantage in many situations. Sa Tomar is also greatly experienced and wise, having seen a great deal in his years with the order. Combat Style: Sa Tomar is talented in basic force maneuvers such as force-push and pull, but the vast majority of his training has contributed to his skills with a blade. He is considered a master with a lightsaber, most of all a double-bladed lightsaber, his weapon of choice. His mental balance helps him channel his power in combat. Lightsaber: Sa Tomar is the only senior member of the Jedi Order to wield a double bladed lightsaber, a testament to his hand-to-hand skills and large size. The hilt is very sleek and smooth in design, and has a blue wraps strapped to it to improve grip. The colour of the crystal is that of a typical Jedi blue.
-Personality Details- (Include their personality characteristics, flaws and strengths. Few paras at least.)
-Biographical Information- Sa Tomar was born on the planet of Cathar, a land of rough craggy wastelands and savannas, governed by only primal, tribal authorities. The Cathar people remain wounded from the devastating Mandalorian wars which took place thousands of years prior, but have left behind a culture of slavery and disdain for outsiders. Due to this, it was quite unlikely for Sa himself to ever be taken under the Jedi Council's wing despite his strong force sensitivity. If he had any normal family lineage, he would most likely have remained on his homeworld and followed in typical Cathar tradition. However, his grandfather before him had been seen as an elder of his village. Sa's grandfather was wise, intellectual, and, like Sa, strong in the force - yet untrained in the Jedi way. Feeling the great potential within Sa that his own son did not possess, Sa's grandfather, after much persuasion, convinced Sa's reluctant parents to offer him to the Jedi Order. Sa was instantly recognized as a great talent, showing exceptional ability in hand-to-hand combat in particular, but lacking in the balance that was essential for a Jedi to master. He lacked control, and his primal, beast-like emotions often set him loose. Yoda, fearing that Sa would go on to struggle with the dark-side, appointed Fuaq Prul, a Jedi Master known for his exceptional ability to control emotion. Sa was trained to shut away his darker emotions for the most part and instead focus on his own inner strength. As a Jedi Knight, Sa Tomar was a indefensible weapon for the Order. He could single-handedly dispatch an entire rebel garrison and come out relatively unscathed. As he grew older, and matured, he managed to completely rid himself from hatred, and as a result, was held in very high regard by Yoda and the rest of the council. He continued to apply passion in his fighting styles, but he could never quite master the balance of anger and peace. A true turning point in his control of emotions was when his master, Fuaq Prul, was killed in a space skirmish - instead of falling in to a pit of despair he picked himself up and decided to continue his master's legacy. Following the rescue of the young force-sensitive Mace Windu, who Yoda deemed a very conflicted, yet massively promising young Jedi, Sa Tomar was chosen to teach the boy. Sa saw great potential in Mace, and from a young age spent a great deal of time training him both in the art of hand-to-hand combat as well as guiding him trying to balance the force. Mace grew proficient in both techniques at an astounding rate, and by his late teens could almost match his master in a spar by tapping in to the mental techniques that he had been taught by both Sa and Yoda. Due to his years of service and significance within the order, Sa Tomar was eventually granted the title of Jedi Master and was given a seat on the High Council. At this time, Mace was still his apprentice. But only three years later, Mace was granted the title of Jedi Knight and was no longer Sa's padawan. Despite this, the two continued to work closely and teach each-other new techniques.
