You can bring in OCs that's more then fine, I myself have three maybe four OCs. 

As for the images...I'm gonna have to pass that off to Vic. I like real life images myself, particularly if I can find gifs that represent my character, but I can understand it would be hard to generate the cyberpunk style with real life images. So I'm gonna let Vic answer that xD
