It is now time for the first announcement of the day, asleep or not this should wake you up. We got a few new arrivals during the night, a few arrivals from yesterday are no longer with us. A few of the girls from C2 were taken in the night.”
With this announcement echoing along the cold steel walls of the prison and coming out of each speaker along the interior. Those whom weren’t awake either slept through the announcement or were trying to get back to sleep. There were some who’d been up for awhile now and those who were just waking up to the announcement. The guards had been awake already, having the need of time in the mornings to get coffee and into their uniforms. Those who’d been on night shift were shifting off and those on day shift were on coming. Those who were buddy buddy greeted each other and teased one another, all in good fun. Even while working in a prison fun was still common amongst everyone. Some would give the other a noogy, some would give the usual hug or someother greeting they’d come to use after all this time. Once they were all good and ready and the coffee ran out, they set off to their posts for the day. Some were back to escorts, others were at the usual block they were assigned to most days. As the guards knew, once it was zero-seven-thirty the cell doors would open for the morning meal and generalized morning free time before much else happened later in the day. The plan for the day was to get the new comers adjusted the best they could and inform them of the rules and show them the ropes. Aside from that it’d be a usual day for them. Put a stop to fights as they break out, escort people to and from different locations, bring meals to new comers or those in solitary. Watch over the courtyard and the rest of the building. Much like any other day within the past few months. With the day planned out, each person set off to their assigned posts and to keepwatch over their assigned sector. Multiple guards to a sector with more in higher security sections. The floors were filled with the patter of the boots as they marched to get to the assigend sector. Shortly after he was put into his cell the night before he’d fallen asleep, not wanting to deal with much else, he figured his mind would figure out just where it was and what was going on while he slept. While it did just that more or less, it still hit him that he was now in a prison for more than likely the rest of his life with everything he’d done over his lifetime thus far. All the terrible things he’d done and that bank heist was what happened to land him here, all of his men lost, all of the friends he had were dead by now. Everything he’d worked towards just to end out in Asbasta. None the less, with all the shit he’d done it finally caught up to him. What got to him the most wasn’t the lives of many he’d taken, it was the mere fact he’d likely never see his sister again with his own two eyes. He thought back to a time when he’d actually taken the time to put a stop to his wrongful doings and tried to care for her. While that lasted about a year and a half, it was different to not be pulling all the same shit day after day for that time. But as everybody knows, your past will catch up with you and you will make the same mistakes as you once did, without trying hard to prevent making those mistakes again. With that thought haven taken hold for a short while, he snapped back to reality and sat up from the rather uncomfortable bed that he had slept on. He figured it was better than the floor but not by much, atleast it wasn’t just a sheet of metal sticking out of the wall for one to sleep on. None the less, this was how he’d be sleeping for awhile, best he got used to it sooner rather than later at any rate. None the less, he was now at the point of planning out his day. With the fact that everything will be brought to him, there wasn’t much to do in this place and he figured that was the point of it. With coming to terms on his new living space and lack of activities that could be held in such a place. He figured he’d spend time working out, running over his life in his mind and if possible, reading some books if he could convince the guards to bring him some every now and then. While that last thought has a larger chance of failure, he still thought that it’d be worth it to atleast try and see what would happen if he were to ask them for this. With all of that set aside, the current plan was to relax for the time being until a guard happened to come by so he could ask a few questions, if that didn’t happen today he’d more or less sleep and work out most of the day. Unsure how one would have conversation with another in a place like this with one to a cell, he assumed throughout the day he might just see that plan in action and could then attempt to talk to someone. Without any hesitation, Henneth then stood up and looked about his dark and musty cell, he took note of the layout and lack of much of anything inside of it. He then dropped to the floor and began to work out with some basic situps which would then be followed by some push-ups. With it still being early, this would give him a chance to fully wake up and then give himself some energy to last him for the day.
