Name: Odile Totena Age: Late teens. Gender: Male Race: Human Nation: Talze Utera Appearance: Odile stands at 5'2" (157cm) and has a rather weathered build. His most notable feature would be the various scars adorning his body. Every inch of his skin is damaged, either torn by cuts, charred by burns, or pockmarked by disease. As such, his body has grown quite resilient. All unnecessary aspects of his body has been removed by starvation or practice. Despite his rather monstrous appearance, his auburn hair is constantly braided and kept long, as he has never thought to cut it. To make matters worse, he has black, smoking objects erupting upwards out of the top of his back. They are in the shape of two spears and a staff. They look rather inhuman, as if they shouldn't exist in this world. They just appear like something is wrong, though it is indescribable to say what. If it weren't for his scars and massive protrusions, he would make for a rather attractive woman. His outfit changes every so often. He used to wear a large set of crusader armour, but it was much too heavy and cumbersome to walk around normally in. As such, he tends to wear large hooded robes to hide his ghastly appearance. While alone, however, he doesn't wear much. [sup][sub][sub][sub][sup][sup][sup]( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)[/sup][/sup][/sup][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sup] Personality: Odile resembles less of a human and more of an injured animal. He doesn't have the keenest sense of morality, nor does he have knowledge of manners or the like. He acts more basic than that. If someone gives him food, he'll maybe follow them. If someone attacks him, he'll fight back. He runs off of instinct first and foremost. Even with this primitive way of thinking, he at least has basic understandings of things. He understands the common tongue and can speak speak it, albeit poorly. He understands basic knowledge of the world, like currency and exchanging it for goods and services. Actually getting him to use currency, however, is another story. He has an extreme hatred for crusaders. If he sees someone who looks like a crusader, there is no doubt that he would attack them. However, while he hates crusaders, he doesn't actually know that Astropol is behind all of the raids into his former home. He rather enjoys the company of other people, a result of being alone for so long. Despite this longing of human contact and his targeted hate, he still is afraid of people. In fact, it has reached the point where he is afraid of both being alone and being close to other humans. He is filled with frustration because of it. Biography: Odile was born alone. His true father and mother had abandoned him inside of Talze Utera. Despite this cruel fate bestowed upon the child, a lone monster decided to save him. Perhaps out of guilt, perhaps out of sympathy, a solitary orc found Odile and brought him into his home. The orc taught Odile the best that he could about living and surviving inside of their cruel home. The two were happy, like father and son. However, the joys of youth were soon cut down by the misguided actions of crusaders. Odile, who ha no knowledge of these people, saw that they were like him. They weren't monsters like the dangerous people in his nation. They must be like him! He managed to get them to follow him. He brought them to their house. His father, the orc, went out to greet them. The crusaders thought that the orc kept Odile as a slave. They swiftly cut down the orc. In a panic, Odile ran. He ran and ran until his legs gave out. That was when he met the witch. The young witch with black hair and red eyes listened to what happen in what disjointed way Odile could tell it. She taught Odile some words so that he may speak it better. One word was what to call her - mother. One word was particularly heinous - crusader. It was the people responsible. The witch, perhaps out of sympathy or perhaps out of malevolence, decided to help the boy. She constructed a nefarious curse - one of undeath and pestilence - and cursed the boy. After, she left, never to be heard from again. Odile was alone once more. He only knew one thing and that was retribution. He wanted the crusaders to pay for that did. He began to hunt crusaders. Each time a crusader would appear, Odile would be eviscerated and wake up days later. However, that changed when he stumbled on a lone crusader. A survivor from an attack by other Talze Uterans. Odile managed to silently approach him and sink his small teeth into the crusader's neck. By the time Odile was disemboweled, the crusader had succumbed to blood loss and Odile felkl asleep once more with a blade inside of his torso. When Odile woke up, he felt different when thinking about the crusaders. His bloodlust was heavier. He truly wanted them to die. However, he could do nothing from inside of Talze Utera. Crusaders would kill more and more. The only way to truly stop them would be to kill them at their home, like what happened to him. He ventured off to leave his homeland, only to find himself at Illiserev. Abilities: Odile's path is extremely rudimentary. He doesn't even know what Talentium is. They just end up happening for him. His path is focused on one thing - vengeance. While facing a foe that he wishes death upon (mostly crusaders and the like), his strength and speed are drastically increased. His single unnamed sword skill reflects his wish. He forcefully tears the physical manifestation of his curse away from his body and uses it as a weapon. The blackened spears easily pierce through any sort of armour and can even cut through metaphysical objects. However, this comes at a cost; once the spears are pulled out of his body, Odile can no longer regenerate. However, this ability goes both ways. If the enemy is pierced by the spear, a toxin erupts from the wound. At that point, the wound can no longer be healed by magic. Only time can cure the wounds caused by his spears. It truly is all or nothing at that point. Important Items: The Witch's Curse is the physical manifestation of the curse that allows Odile to regenerate. It erupts upwards from Odile's back and takes the shape of two spears and a staff. The staff, while it is useless when torn out, keeps his sanity in check. It allows him to take immeasurable amounts of pain without being afflicted by shock. However, this doesn't mean the pain itself is negated or that he can function properly while in pain. It only means that he won't pass out from the pain, forcing him to suffer through every second of damage he takes. The two spears are the manifestation of his healing ability. While they are inside of him, all of his wounds regenerate. This doesn't mean he can grow new limbs. Rather, it means that if he loses a limb, he can reattach it in a matter of seconds. Because of these two spears, he can function without vital organs for quite some time. However, these spears (and the staff) can be pulled out by anyone, stopping his regeneration and allowing them to inflict permanent damage on him. Despite his recovery being super human, it still takes some time for larger wounds to recover. Cuts would be healed in seconds, lacerations would take minutes, reattachment - possibly hours, and extreme damage like being torn open would take days, possibly even weeks. But the curse has a severe price. No matter what Odile does, it slowly saps the life of everything around him. While it would take a long time for someone to die from the ability, it would take merely days for someone around him to be afflicted by atrophy and sickness. Healing magic is also halted around him, making it nigh impossible for someone to quickly recover from his aura of pestilence. The Lost Blade is a talentium dagger embedded inside of Odile's chest. It gives him immense strength and speed. Even though he has heightened strength and speed, he doesn't actually have increased durability. If he attacks at his full strength, then both the target and him are going to break. Since he can't actually use the dagger, he is at an extreme disadvantage while fighting people who actually use their weapons properly. Like his curse, the blade can be removed from his body and as a result, he can lose his path.
