Kahleni stood leaning against a pillar with her back to the others. She allowed her thoughts to roam freely as she attempted to remember some of her memories prior to her imprisonment. Those of her with her parents, additional relatives, friends, etc.; but she could barely remember their faces. Such fact alone brought a single tear to her eye, although she quickly wiped it away before anyone else happened to see it. [i]No use dwelling in the past[/i], she thought, something she told herself over and over again as the days, months, and years all blurred any sense of time inside that damn cell.
