[@Rithy]The plasma launcher would be more anti-vehicle. Due to the ballistic nature of a missile, the fire and shrapnel are secondary damage, while the brunt of the blow is the kinetic energy released on explosion. This makes the secondary damage types of the missile useless against vehicles, but extremely effective, along with the explosion itself, against infantry. The plasma launcher just nails something with hot plasma. It doesn't splash far, and it sticks, limiting its capabilities against enemy infantry, but because it sticks so hard, it makes it hell on earth for tanks and mechs. Plasma launchers can also be used to shut down an area from occupation by enemy forces for a limited time. No one wants to enter a room full of hot plasma. Edit: but nah missiles are awesome. Nothing says 'I mean business so give me all your money' like a rocket pod.
