I thought saying we were friends was enough to establish that I wanted to be friends, but I guess you ended up taking it the wrong way. Do you think "buddy" would get my point across better? Or maybe "chum"? How do you feel about "amigo"?

Also I can't really stop you from leaving but just for future reference can you point out where you thought I was rude to you and maybe give suggestions as to what I could have done instead? I've been trying to work on it but nobody ever sticks around to give me a straight explanation.

I mean personally speaking I thought we were having a lot of fun together and you seemed really invested but I guess you actually weren't. Sorry.
