Had some free time, so I decided to write up my character.: Kwan Sang Iseul AKA Anton Kyungovich Yumashev: Male: 39: 1m75: South Korean/Soviet Russian: : Kwan is a mature, thoughtful man, preferring to think before acting. His long times alone surviving in Afghanistan have made him a quiet man, despite his skill with languages. He can be quite friendly, however, with those close to him, especially his brothers in arms.: Kwan was born on the 17th of July, 1965 in Daegu, South Korea to a middle-class couple who both worked for a journalism company. As a child, he had a quiet life, spending most of his time as many of his friends did, though he did spend a considerable amount of time learning English with a close friend of his parents. After he graduated high school with above average marks, he decided to join the Republic of Korea Air Force in 1983. He passed through training with ease and he was well-liked by not only his fellows but also his superiors. Due to his English skill and his excellent flying ability, he was recommended for a soldier exchange program in 1984 which he eagerly accepted. Upon arrival, it was evident to his new American comrades that he was a great asset and they set themselves to work on attempting to find a good use for him. This 'good use' came in late 1984 in the form of a top secret mission in Afghanistan. He would fly missions against the Soviets in unmarked aircraft in order to help turn around the Soviet Offensive. He arrived in the country in December, 1984 and he began to fly these missions in January of the next year. These went exceedingly well, until March when he was shot down by a Mujahideen forces that confused his aircraft for a Soviet one. Kwan barely survived the crash, and had to evade not only Soviet forces, but also Mujahideen forces for months in the harsh environment of Afghanistan before being captured by a Soviet patrol. It seemed like the end for Kwan, but he was saved when he managed to befriend an old Soviet officer who had learned Korean during the Korean War. By recommendation of the Soviet, a man named Andrei Ivanovich Raikov, he adopted a new identity (a Soviet Russian of North Korean origins) and successfully defected to the Soviet Union. After that, he stopped flying for a long period of time, instead traveling with the officer throughout the Communist Bloc, visiting places such as East Germany, Africa and even Cuba. Upon the death of his friend, in 1991, Kwan decided to continue his travels, spending a short period of time in western Europe and South America before returning to his native South Korea in 2002, where he rejoined the ROKAF. However, due to his former defection, he was met with a career cul-de-sac, despite his experience, compelling him to join the UN Inspector Corps in 2003.: Desire to escape a dead-end career.:-Kwan has something of a skill with languages, fluently speaking English, Korean, Russian, German, Spanish, French and Chinese and is able to read Arabic.-He usually spends his free time either reading or checking on his weaponry.-He considers himself to be of Christian faith, but he doesn't pray or otherwise practice religious activities very often, for various reasons.Voice any problems and I'll try to fix them.
I say its good! Although, I've got two questions One: I'm assuming he'll be the team pilot/Just In Case Translator? Two: See, International soldiers of NATO origin, once they learn more about you, might show slight bit of hostility. Not much at all, but for the sake of realism, they be slightly against it, although the superiors, being mostly of Third Bloc countries, AND the Soviet Allied soldiers, would be fine with you. Is that alright with you?
