The room was a pleasant one, rich with books and the walls almost carpeted with tapestries. Virginia smiled softly, though she doubted that the books shelved here would be similar to the ones she herself perused at her leisure. Still, the walls guarded them from the nasty screams of Elizabeth, and for that, Virginia was thankful. While the Crypts enjoyed many things, listening to the verbal abuse of their dear friends was not one of them. "I sometimes fancy what the first ink was," Virginia murmured wistfully, as she sat at the desk, and received quill and paper. And then, deciding to forgo consideration for the more faint of heart, Virginia recorded her visions on the parchment neatly and signed her name, Lady Virginia Crypt. One was addressed to those at Almack's, another to the dear Sister Mary, and a third to Alfred, as to keep him and James secure. As she finished scratching away at the letter, she glanced over at her dear friend. "Is it now? It would seem time is moving strangely, for it to escape the watchful mark of Millicent Wyndham..."
