[@MrDidact] It's a good point, as they are known to use aliens in a number of functions. That having been said, if anyone remembers Pragia, they did plenty of evil to fellow humans as well.

One more thing, though: Every officer on the SR-2 was specifically chosen because of their personality, to be the best possible match for the crew's captain. So, naturally, the more dangerous and prejudiced individuals would have been passed over for the job.

Cerberus has a bad rep, but their foreign policy seems to be incredible. They have a lot of alien operatives and informants, oddly enough. Plus, they let Shepherd hire an entire team of aliens. That right there was some of the best publicity Cerb could've ever gotten.
