B-b-but there are no canonized swamps up there! See my lengthy response above; I don't know why that appeared on the recent map. :lol

I don't know where the idea of a swamp surrounding the Venomweald came from. IC it's always been that Zephyrion made a bunch of hills, crags, and canyons between the Ironhearts and Firewind, and Slough's presence eventually covered most of that rugged land with the Venomweald. But the jungle didn't cover the entire region so at the borders it's still just a bunch of wild hills and crags.

...I really am starting to suspect that we posted one too many Shrek memes about a swamp, which led to people taking the jokes seriously and thinking that Ommok actually lives in a swamp.

Edit: but yes, by all means I'd say that the gods like Ilunabar and Teknall might take notice of the ogres now that their civilization has spread beyond a few camps in the jungle and the hills. Especially with Zephyrion out of the picture and not trying to kill anybody that so much as allowed their blood to drip on his precious playground.
