I was originally going to have Eddie fill both roles, but yeah, the way he's written right now, I could instead have him be more of a generic engineer than a shipwright, which would mean that a more skilled shipwright would be helpful for the crew, later on. (So basically more like Usopp than Franky)

Of course, [@dragonmancer], you could also have him just be a cool guy with skills or influence, like Robin or Jinbei.
