Four of the six people from the dream were here now, as darkness surrounded them and threatened to engulf everything they knew. The sky was darkening further, and the hulking figures of shadow that Pink had glimpsed were coming into view over the tops of the trees and buildings that made up their mixed surroundings here on the edge of town. As the giants of shadow approached, the small, weaker ones that Kupori and Pink had had some success in fighting sank back into their pools. The pools were expanding now, not only covering all of the ground that they could see, but enchroaching on the walls of buildings and the roots and trunks of trees as well. One of the giants put its claw like hand on the roof of the building between it and the key bearers. It was as if its weight were too much for the new floor of darkness, and the building simply sank into it, gradually disappearing from view. “That was Mikey Welburne’s house,” Faira said, breathlessly as the very top of the roof vanished under the darkness. The giant advanced, and Faira stepped backward to join the other three, raising her stick even as the rest of the group had the fantastic keyblades to defend herself. When it's hand came down, groping for the strength of the hearts it saw, Faira was the first to lash out to knock the hand away. As she swung, her stick seemed to transform in a flash of light. Longer, broader, the keyblade from her dreams is what made contact with the hand. It seemed to leak darkness when struck, and the giant withdrew its hand. “That's right!” She shouted at it, “Sunrise City, sucker!” For all her bravado, she couldn't help showing her fear as a second giant’s hand suddenly gripped her from behind, it's claws rapping around her. She screamed, and she wasn't sure which one of her friends(she had never called any of them this before now) struck it to make it release her. She fell to her hands and knees, and found that she couldn't lift any of her limbs, she was sinking into the pool of darkness. Though she couldn't see any light as she fell completely under the surface, she felt a light coming from herself. The darkness surrounded her, and she could feel it trying to get in, but it couldn't penetrate the light coming from inside.
