Did you mean "take the wheel" as in be the pilot? Sorry, I was a little confused.

I was thinking my character jury-rigged the turrets with motors and cameras and such and hooked them all up to the ancient technology that is an iPad, allowing one person to play turret-management from a central location. Such a system would be extremely susceptible to ECM as per hunter weaknesses. Whichever of us takes the copilot position would probably have this job.
