What were they? Anti-Adept bigots, Adepts themselves, Pirates, or some other sort of malcontent? Well, whatever the case, his goal was simple; stop the hijacking, save civilians, and neutralize the goons, preferably in a way that allowed him to find out more about them; he had been on the deck when the hijackers first appeared, but had soon vanished.

If Gavin can succeed in freeing the ship from these people, that might be a way of getting Sumeragi's trust...
