[@The Kid Lantern]Starfire hadn't been able to get into the tower without causing it serious damage, so she had been looking for clues for the last few days.  Unfortunately, Superman was nowhere to be found.

Then the mutated "Bat Man" had come to her to request her help.  "Well, If it means protecting the people of the United States from a threat, foreign or domestic, I'll be glad to help." she responded, rubbing the stubby hair that had grown on her head over the last few days.
