I've been stalking this since the interest check and now I think I'm ready to submit my character. Can't wait to be told I did something wrong ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Name: Kaison Locke Appearance: Age: 16 Gender: ♂ Orientation: Heterosexual, mostly Type: Mage Magic Type: ~ Known Spells: ~ Partner: ~ Personality: Adventurous, light-hearted and nonchalant, Kaison tends to not take things seriously. He has a flawless poker face in the form of an unfaltering smile and a stoic disposition hiding any troubles he may or may not have. He may be a bit idealistic at times, but he has a strong sense of responsibility, even if he otherwise seems completely apathetic. A bit of a weeb. Biography: Kaison was born to a highly successful self-made businessman and his beautiful house-wife. When Kaison was one year old, his mother died giving birth to his younger brother. Consequently, his father developed depression and a drinking problem. Due to his young age, he was never familiar with his mother, and he’s never known his father to be any other way. Even so, his father was a drunkard, not abusive, and he and his brother were generally left alone, if not watched by a babysitter. They had a lot of time, growing up, to play games with each other, and as they grew older, they went from making up scenarios to making up game mechanics. Kaison taught himself basic coding through configurable game engines and expanded from there, while his brother taught himself spriting. Together, they made fully original, if generally amateur video games. As they grew older still, their respective talents began to stir, and they applied to St. Fortuna’s, hoping to use their newfound capabilities to write their own stories. Both romantics, they wanted to see what they could live out; fantastic scenarios like those they’ve created, a fitting step up. A life of action and adventure, worthy of being recorded and proliferated. Perhaps that’s just wishful thinking. Regardless of what the future holds, A school as prestigious as St. Fortuna's was bound to open new doors, and no matter how he proceeds, a little magic will go a long way. Likes: A good story, (books, movies, video games) card games, cloud-watching, his brother, fresh air, music of most genres, overcast weather, sight-seeing, soda, star-gazing, thrill rides, video games (gameplay) Dislikes: Cliche plots, competitiveness, confrontation, crowds, dirt, excessive pessimism, hot weather, humidity, monotony, obnoxious background noise Points: Proficiency: 3 Intelligence: 4 Athletics: 3 Miscellaneous: His brother is a 15-year old familiar in his first year at St. Fortuna's. A story-teller, especially one who tells his own stories about amazing things he's done in life. Ideally and most directly, this would mean being a famous explorer and author, but this is more of a far-off dream than a realizable career. If asked, he would say that he wants to be a video game creative director, on account of his familiarity with coding. 2. Your character is caught telling a lie/cheating. How do they react? Laugh it off and come clean, as if he'd been found in a game of hide and seek. 3. Your character finds out someone close to them has been lying to them. How do they react? He'd shrug it off as unimportant. If the situation really hurt him, he'd hide his emotions and act like he doesn't care as a defense mechanism. Either way, he'd lose his trust for them, but he'd still act friendly all the same. 4. If your character were given $50, what would they do with it? If he wanted a new book or game that came out, he'd pick it up when he gets the chance. Otherwise, he wouldn't give it much thought and would probably just save it. 5. Someone close to your character gives them something very important and asks them to hold on to it until they come back. However, your character somehow loses it. What do they do? Go on a hunt to the ends of the Earth to find it and if necessary, prostrate himself to the vilest of enemies if they were capable of finding it for him. Failing that, he'd do all he could to replace it. When the time comes, if he can't return the original, he'd admit to losing it and ask if there was a way to make it up to them. 6. Your character is given the chance to perfect any one talent. What do they choose? His writing capability. 7. What is your character’s favorite book or movie genre? Why? Science-fiction and Fantasy. He's always liked escapism, and creative scenarios tickle his fancy. If a tangible example is needed, there’s Westworld. 8. Who does your character admire? Daniel Handler and Jun'ya Ota, more commonly known by their respective pen-names Lemony Snicket and ZUN. A highly successful writer of children’s books with a particularly distinctive style and a prolific self-made Japanese dōjin game developer.
Password: Shrimp-flavored Maruchan-brand packet ramen, cooked briskly for texture
