Robert dreams of being able to bring much of the theoretical possibilities of magic into the real world, so he would very much like to be in R&D, perhaps developing and building scientific instruments. 2. Your character is caught telling a lie/cheating. How do they react? “Me? Cheat?”, Robert asked, trying to remain calm as quickly shifted his eyes forward onto his paper, avoiding eye contact as much as possible. This was it. He wasn’t ready for this test, and the idea of people seeing him fail was too much to bear, so he settled upon a risky gamble that apparently hadn’t paid off. “Quite obviously.” The teacher said, “Now look at me when I’m talking to you.” Robert swallowed hard and looked up to meet the gaze of his teacher, his eyes welling up, before he regained control of himself, and exhaled, “Of course not, sir” He said pointedly, “I apologize for any semblance of that, but I would never.” He said quietly, before attempting to continue to his test, knowing he’d have to fail or pass the rest of this test on his own merit alone. 3. Your character finds out someone close to them has been lying to them. How do they react? “I’m sorry?” Robert asked, smiling for a moment, before giving a cough and crossing his arms, a bemused smile on his face, before his friend affirmed their sentiment, causing Robert to straighten himself up. “Oh.” He deadpanned, feeling any bit of doubt leave him as he realized this wasn’t a game. He paused for a minute, and then made a fist in his hand, not holding back anger, but rather himself together. “Well you can just fuck right off then.” He said, his voice sounding strained. He couldn’t be around him right now, not after he betrayed his trust. He motioned for him to leave, slamming the door behind him, before exhaling, and letting out of breath. He let himself go limp, his back slumping against the door, as he rubbed his temples. Tears started to roll down his cheeks, and he sniffled, and wiped his tears away. His friend wasn’t worth tears. He wasn’t worth anything. 4. If your character were given $50, what would they do with it? He’d be happy to have it, and would spend it on the first thing he wanted. 5. What do they do? “Where is it WHERe is IT WHEREISIT?” His mind was frantic as he turned over everything in front of him. His heart was racing, his mind was reeling, leaving him in full blown panic mode. He tried to calm himself down, but that wasn’t going to work this time. He rubbed his folder, he couldn’t replace it, he couldn’t lie, this was going to come crashing down on him. After a minute, he knew what he had to do. They would find out eventually, the only way to make the best out of this situation would be to let them know it was gone. 6. Your character is given the chance to perfect any one talent. Who does your character admire/look up to? His parents are the most influential part of his life, and he has extreme deference and respect for the way that they’ve chosen to live their lives. Their devotion to understanding the world around him affirms and powers his belief that with proper work and thought, anything can be accomplished.
