Anything involving a forest was a splendid idea. Voicing his agreement with a soft yip, Byrce raced forward and nudged Zane’s side playfully he did so. Their secret escape route would lead them close to the path that would take them towards the direction Thea had suggested, his own Kingdom was further east which he was thankful for. As he reached the tunnel-like path he heard a far-off howl, his ears twitching as he recognized the tone. His siblings shared his ability to shift though they couldn't control it as easily as he yet, Andrea it seemed wanted to know where he was. Crawling onto his belly he easily wiggled through the opening, immediately shaking himself when he came free on the other side. Sitting on his haunches while he waited, Byrce focused on his surroundings with alertness. He was in charge of both Thea and Zane once leaving the kingdom, he was always on guard for threats. Ears and nose twitching as sounds and scents drew his attention towards the canopy of trees he can see, Byrce rose to his paws and yipped softly as he waited to begin their adventure. He fell silent when his stomach gave a loud tumble, a snort escaping him as he remembered he'd been denied food due to being late for his meetings that morning. Golden eyes focused on the trees, his tail twitching as he felt a familiar breeze of frigid air gently billowing against his fur. He hadn't shown or told Thea yet about his new ability yet, a wolfish-grin spread across his features as he envisioned how it would go. Maybe the rumors of werewolves being part mages were true, Byrce hadn't heard of anyone else in his Pack being able to control an element. Shaking his form to dispel the small ice-crystals that were coating his grey-black fur, Byrce focused instead on quelling the sudden urge to release a burst of ice. It hadn't even been a week yet since he found out, his control was weak unless he was completely focused. He hoped his friends would join him soon, his stomach seemed intent on consuming his spine from how suddenly starving he was.
