She is capable of using her own webbing without getting stuck to it. Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Team: SFYR Where Are They From: Vale Personality: Rosetta was raised an aristocrat, and this upbringing has coloured her personality. She is formal and polite in her speech, mostly because she was raised to do so, and not out of any real belief in the need for politeness. In fact, when given a good reason to forget formalities, she’ll gladly mock people to the full extent of her ability. However, she has been brought up with a fairly high degree of self-restraint, and tends not to turn hostile except when faced with enmity from others. Her current goal in life is simply to enjoy herself in accordance with her own whims. When not engaged in any tasks, Rosetta will likely be found searching for some means of entertaining herself. Her self-indulgence has not given way to laziness, however, as Rosetta firmly believes that leisure ought to be earned in full. Rosetta is exceptionally professional when it comes to any work she has done, and she will do her best to see she does a job properly, with no corners cut or unsatisfied parties. She is also quite proud of the work she does, and if she feels she is being criticized on it unfairly, she will make a fuss about it. Bio: The Tarantella family is one with an aristocratic background and a long tradition of martial service. As her father Claudio’s oldest child, Rosetta was the focus of his efforts to build a worthy successor to the household. He tutored her closely in the use of weapons and in the manner he expected her to conduct herself as a member of the Tarantella family. While she disliked the rigidity of it all as a child, Rosetta soon grew into the role and appreciated the lessons and skills her father imparted upon her. Most if not all of the values she holds true were those she picked up from her father’s tutelage. For all the oversight her father took in making sure she grew up properly, he was very liberal with her when he was not training her in any fashion. He told her he did not mind what she did so long as she remained true to what he had taught her, and so she was free to wander around the place of her birth and seek out her own entertainment. Rosetta soon found herself going to all kinds of strange places in her quest to for merriment and diversion, some of which few would consider a place to attract a woman of wealth and high birth. She once had a bodyguard that was new to the job and didn’t understand how her family worked. When she told him they were to go to some dodgy night club in a district of ill repute, her called her father to let him know. Claudio plainly told the bodyguard that he himself had been there many times and it was a great place. That bodyguard quickly realised the Tarantella family didn’t care much for appearances or sensibilities as long as they got their jobs done. Given the nature of the Tarantella family, it soon became a tradition of theirs to forgo Beacon Academy in favour of Atlas, as they much preferred the military links the local academy possessed. Rosetta did not particularly care which school she went to, so she blithely went along with her father’s decision to send her to there. As far as Rosetta is concerned, her time at Atlas will simply be another leg in her journey to being a professional huntress, and she does not as of yet expect anything special to occur there. Likes: -New experiences -Gourmet food -Doing a job well Dislikes: -Being criticized -Preachy people -Staying too long in one place Strengths: -Professionalism: Rosetta has a drive to do any task set to her properly and with finesse. It is not enough for her to simply get through a job; she must do it as perfectly as humanly possible. -Tolerant: Rosetta is someone who can put up with a lot, if only due to her nonchalance towards anything that doesn’t directly concern her. She won’t pursue people over their shortcomings, even if she wouldn’t tolerate them in herself. -Precise: Rosetta has a keen set of eyes, and is good at spotting small details as well as hitting her targets right in the sweet spots. Weaknesses: -Proud: Rosetta takes great pride in her work, and if she feels she has done the job right, she won’t be happy to be told she has done it wrong. If she has made up her mind, it can be hard to convince her she may in fact be wrong. -Cold: While far from unpleasant, Rosetta is not a terribly empathetic person underneath all the formalities. She is not easily moved to emotion and may be apathetic towards the plights of others. Her only real concern is getting things done the right way. -Unadaptive: Rosetta has a highly particular method of fighting; she likes to pick her target and take them down efficiently. If she is suddenly assaulted by a second opponent, she will not take well to it. In a nutshell, it upsets her methods to be faced with more than one enemy at a time. Extra: Rosetta’s weapon is a lance that can transform into a high velocity rifle by means of the lance head being unhinged and folded back, revealing the rifle barrel within. The rifle delivers high powered shots capable of piercing armour, though it has a slow rate of fire.
