Devastated, her father turned to alcohol, then to physical abuse. She came to school every day with bruises on her arms, and the other children would laugh at her. She grew further and further separated from other people, finding solace in looking at pictures of the forest. She endured this abuse for five more years before discovering a fascination with throwing knives. She trained with them day after day, alternating between that and her pictures. One day, Vara finally [/color][color=#7F00FF]snapped. She took her only knife-- which she had gotten by scraping up money from side jobs and hiding it from her father-- and stabbed him repeatedly. Vara then left Ilios to live on the streets of a nearby city, taking what she could get. June 18th, 2007, is a date she will remember forever. That fateful day, a man approached her, asking her if she could do a job for him. His job? Killing the head of a rival business. She accepted, and carried it out swiftly and without any precaution. She still managed to evade capture, however, and found the man. He rewarded her, and continued to occasionally give her ‘contracts’. At one point or another, the man came again- this time with somebody else. The new man said he was with Talon, and would be interested in working with someone of her… talents. Blood Rush: While Vail is injured, she becomes faster, able to move at a slightly higher speed than most people. One Step Ahead: Vail can temporarily remove her mind from her body in order to push herself beyond her physical limits, making her much more athletic, at the cost of worse aim. However, she can only do it for a short time, because she still needs to rein Vara in. Ultimate Ability: Rain of Thorns- Vail fills her hands with her knives and flings them up into the air, causing them rain down a few seconds later, causing large amounts of damage in the surrounding area.
