'Helping' in this case would be to do everything I can to make sure the consequences actually land where they should. I haven't sorted out exactly what that means I should do yet, I mean, it's not like there's a blameless party (if anything, my dad's the one who ought to know better, he handles the money and he's been enabling this attitude all along). I've been financially independent for shit about nine years now? Think they bought me two or three plane tickets home for holiday season, but other than that I'm not involved. Fuck if I'm going to mix myself up in all this just to prolong all the mistakes. I need to figure out a better way to help the family.
