Kail The atmosphere between the two of them seemed to be brimming with positive energy, Kali’s voice almost have a hint of wonder to it as her mind struggled to keep itself grounded in the reality of the situation ”Well I have been able to make heads turn when I want to, but I’d say I’d have to draw that attention to myself.” She paused for a moment as she let out a soft sigh ”It’s as though there is no true substance to those looks I suppose, it’s one thing to be desirable to someone but another entirely for them to be able to see more than just the surface of you and still find the complete picture compelling” She explained, her mind drifting back to the first interactions she had had with Cecilia and how the Goddess had seen and measured her, the way that piercing gaze of hers had no doubt seen to every corner of Kali and still judged her in such high regards. As they continued on into the ruins, Kali eyes darted around, drawn to the strange sights of the well kept and defined walls. The outside of these ruins seemed to indicate they had been here eons ago, and the atmosphere felt as though it was choking from an untold passage of time. Yet the walls seemed to show no sign of where, either being of the most skilled level of craft or even imbued with magic. Despite the strangeness of the setting, Kali noted that Cecilia seemed to be certain of the direction she was heading, her confidence radiating out from her form and flowing into Kali. Stopping at the entrance to the large room, Kali paused just behind and to the side of Cecilia wondering if this was the destination. As the motion of Cecilia removing her daggers caught her eyes, the surprise must have shown on her face as the Goddess offered a gentle smile. Though the shadows stretched far across the room and obscured its contents to Kali, the posture and eyes of Cecilia informed Kali that there was something hidden away in that darkness, something that, unlike the Giants from before, actually had a degree of danger linked to its existence Kali’s attention was snapped back to her own form as she felt the divine touch of the Goddess grace her form, a subtle brushing of Cecilia’s digits as they ever so lightly danced across the back of Kali’s hand. The warmth of her touch faded as her fingers moved on, but in there placed a strange and energetic tingling remained. Almost like an electric shock, the energy spread from the initial contact point leaving Kali’s body feeling stronger and faster than it had ever felt before. Her senses seemed to heighten as well, her eyes now piercing through the shroud of shadows that covered the room and revealing a motionless statue that stood guard. And yet even with an understanding that she did not fully comprehend, it was as though Kali could see the very essence of magic that flowed in the statue, moving beneath its stone surface in a manner akin to a respitorary system. As Kali listened to Cecilia explain the situation, she could not help but notice the change of tone in her voice, determination and serious giving it a hard edge that Kali had not yet heard before. She briefly doubted in a construct of stone could really give a Goddess such trouble but as she watched Cecilia darted into the room with inhuman speed, the Golem already reacting to the presence in its chamber with a reaction time that was just as unnatural. ”Wait a minute, I can see this! Kali exclaimed to herself as she found her eyes following Cecilia’s motions. She could tell that Cecilia was moving at speeds that were unlike anything Kali had seen before and yet somehow her eyes and mind were able to track the motions and process it, eyes then flickering to the Golem as saw it raise its own stone limb, the rock clashing with the steel of daggers in a spectacular show of force. The impact of the strikes scattered the accumulated years of dust, a small shockwave of dirt ebbing out from the clash of power. Kali was almost mesmerized by the sight, her thoughts turning to horror as she watch the Golem seize the opportunity to counter attack as Cecilia was thrown with force strong enough to shatter the stone wall, let alone the bones and organs of an ordinary human. Yet if she was injured, Cecilia showed no signs of it as she responded to the Golems next blow, holding her own against the construct. Still mesmerized by the scene unfolding before her, Cecilia’s authoritative voice cut through Kali’s dazzled thoughts and sprung her into action. ”I know Cecilia can handle such a creation, I need to do my part and not let her down she thought as her attention turned back to where the golem had been. With the Guardian now occupied elsewhere, the treasure it had been stationed to protect was now visible. Even in the gloom of the room, Kali could ‘see’ the magic that flowed through the bow, its elegant and intricate design hinting to its important nature. Without a second though, Kali sprinted into the room, eyes focused on the prize ahead of her. She trusted Cecilia to handle the golem, and if it should begin to threaten her she was certain Cecilia would let her know
