Valanis, a magical floating world, inhabited by several species who worship a Pantheon, led by the almighty Pantokrator. Long has this world known peace, but times are changing. In the north, a dark Necromancer named Fomalsa is leading his undead hordes against the Lizardian Empire of Hsithi and the Human Empire of Arhab. Amphibious Fishmen Pirates from Paland, named Paladians, constantly raid trading routes through the seas, and the Infernals from the depths often carry out raids against the Human Empire of Verbourg and the Aerian Samarani Republic. The Empire of Arhab has long had trade routes with it's neighours in the Hanionuayn Empire, but with the increase of Paladian Raids the trade routes are becoming less and less profitable. Diplomats sent to the Hanionuayn Empire to negotiate an alliance against the Paladians never return, and tensions with the Hsithi Empire are increasing. Something needs to be done to get aid from the Hanionuayns, and fast. But it's too risky to send diplomats. That's where you come in. You're a citizen from Arhab, and you have been recruited by the Empire to go on a journey to Hanionuayn to find out what happened to the Diplomats and convince the Hanionuayn Empire to form an alliance with the Arhab Empire. If you fail, the Empires of Man will surely collapse. Your mission is a secret to all but those involved however, as it's too important to fail. You might not know me, so let me introduce myself. I'm Darthrafael and I made this RP, and it's my first one on here! (I made other RPs on other forums before) So, let's get down to business, and with that I mean character creation. Let's start with the character sheet. Fill everything in unless it says optional, in which case it's optional.
Name: Gender: Age: Home Province: Province Perk: Job: Magic Paths: Magic Schools: Flaws: Handedness: Backstory (Optional): Other (Optional):
Now let me explain the things in the sheet that might need some explaining: Oh and by the way, the characters are Human.
http://pastebin.com/3xUvZmi4

The Province where your character used to live before the RP starts. Each Province has one or two perks. Choose One. A chosen perk may not be chosen by another character, so first come, first served. This means that you can't have two characters from Nanel since only one perk is available, nor can you have two gatherers from Thron since the perk can't be used twice. Having a gatherer from Thron and a gatherer from Cael is possible however since they are both different provinces. (I might remove/alter the limit if more people want to join than that there are perks available!) Another thing that is determined by your starting province is your starting money. I've assigned a type (Very Poor, Poor, Normal, Rich & Very Rich) to each province which will determine what dice I roll to determine your character's starting money. The type associated with each province will be kept a secret however.
Job: http://pastebin.com/H05RLdUX Basically what class your character is. There can be multiple characters with the same Job. Handedness: Left or Right handed, it's as simple as that. No being ambidextrous for balance purposes. Flaws: This can be various things ranging from being blind to being allergic to something. Backstory: If you do write a backstory, ensure that it matches with your character's job (and perhaps also perk).
By now, you've probably noticed the word 'Magic Point' being used a lot in the Province Perk list and the Job list. Let me explain how it works When creating a character you start with a few Magic Points based on your job. These can be used to give your character a level in Magic Paths and/or Magic Schools. Having points in a Magic School without having any in a Magic Path is generally useless, since you need to have skill in a magic path to be able to cast the spell, and you often need Magic Gems too. Magic Gems are consumed when a spell is cast. Example: This spell requires 7 levels in the 'Evocation' School. (Any spell requiring a level 0 something is available to everyone), and 5 levels in the Fire Magic Path, along with 5 Fire Gems. Characters can gain additional Magic Points to spend during the RP. Magic Paths & cost: Common [1 Point]: Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Nature Rare [2 Points]: Astral, Holy/Divine Banned [4 Points]: Blood, Death
Common [1 Point]: Alteration, Evocation, Enchantment Uncommon [2 Points]: Construction, Conjuration Rare [3 Points]: Thaumaturgy Banned [4 Points]: Blood Magic Conjuration - Summoning Alteration - Combat Buffs & Debuffs Evocation - Combat Spells Construction - Forging magical constructs or items Enchantment - Specialised Buffs Thaumaturgy - Miscellaneous Spells Blood Magic - Dark Magic
Here's the list of all available spells and an image on how to use the site/list: https://larzm42.github.io/dom4inspector/

Some of these spells are either not available or nerfed because they're OP, I'll inform you if your character unlocks a spell that is different than what's listed. You can also ask me directly for info on spells if you want/need. There are 10 types of gems, some more commonly available than others: Common Gems: Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Nature Rare Gems: Astral Very Rare Gems: Pure Banned Gems (Not publicly available so shady deal are needed to obtain these): Blood, Death, Universal A 'Pure' gem counts as half a gem for Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Nature or Astral (So you need two Pure gems to cast a spell that needs one 'normal' gem). The Universal Gems are similar but also count as half a Blood or Death gem.
So, that's pretty much all info unless I overlooked something. Feel free to ask any questions you have!
