You have passed through many towns on your quest for information about your current state. You've asked around, tried not to give up too much information about yourself. Of course, that doesn't mean stories haven't spread about you already, often arriving before you. Apparently, someone's been saying you're immune to all diseases, or immortal, or the cure to many strange diseases. Not you specifically, of course, but someone very much like you based on the verbal descriptions. It's gotten you a few looks, but not nearly as many as you'd expect. Apparently, most people are super unobservant. You've arrived at "home" in Qarn. You figure your best chance at finding answers would be here, in theory, with it being the capital and all. Doesn't mean you'll find your answers, or that they'll come cheap...or that there won't be strings attached. But it's a better chance than in some backwater without so much as a library. Best part, though, is you didn't come alone. Or maybe not the best part, since you didn't have a choice but to be followed by a surprisingly civil, albeit still brash, goliath and his pet fox that he carries on his shoulders. The fox, curiously, has antlers. The goliath...doesn't. But he'd probably look quite fetching with some. Or with a beard.

The town had been quiet other than some rumors about an impossible girl who was immune to pretty much everything. Which is good, because you hadn't really wanted to go to town in the first place. There's only so much you can do once animals start getting scarce, however. The missus (she hates when you call her that) keeps track of all your money for you and assures you that the few encounters with other hunters to whom you have sold weapons has earned more than enough money to feed both of you through the winter. And it's not like she'd need a lot to eat, staying in her fox form all the time. But then you saw another woman. A very cute other woman. What made her cute was a mystery to you, of course. But most things were, so that's no surprise now, is it? She seemed to be asking around about...something complicated and out of your field of expertise. Which again, was pretty much everything. As she leaves, looking forlorn, you follow. The fox on your shoulders nudges your head a few times to get your attention, specifically to remind you that you're there to buy food, but you simply must protect this cute lady on her way to...Qarn, was it? That was an easy word. Not that B one you were born near. Or think you were born near. On the way, you hunted. The animals seemed much more plentiful on this side of the city. The woman strangely seemed to be ignoring you. But you were here to protect her, and finally, FINALLY, when she stopped to rest, you were able to stop, too. Through some miracle, she agreed to allow you to continue following her as long as you needed. The weirdo.

You had been in Fallen Hope for weeks, and had had no progress in finding a cure for your mother. Thankfully, temples tend to be good places to gather information and rumors with all the people there. One of the temple-goers seemed especially fond of rumors as of late, and on one particular day, you overheard snippets of conversation about a woman who seemed to defy the usual need for cures to ailments, who was seemingly immune to everyday illnesses. Sure, you had no idea whether the rumor was true or not, but it was a lead - your first lead, in fact. So you asked for permission from the head of the temple, and despite their misgivings and, frankly, complaints that you were leaving already after just coming in to fill the void left behind by the previous absentee cleric, were granted leave. According to the rumor, this person was on their way to Qarn. You recently arrived, but have no hint as to who it is or where they would be within the city.
What do you do? (Note, to whom it applies: Wren has not left fox form since before joining Evyr.)
