Academy of Stellae

On an island far off an eastern coast, an ancient, dark stone tower surges upward and pierces the clouds. The frequent, unnatural storms send ominous, dark blue lightning crashing across the dark cloudy sky.

Within the tower, mages study the dark crafts of necromancy, blood magic, and conjuration from beyond the walls of reality. All across many lands, citizens tell in hushes voices tales of young children being kidnapped to join the ranks of these evil mages...or be used as sacrifices in the dark rituals taking place. 

More rare, and much more accurate tales, tell of the older mages, of the highest ranks in the tower, attempting communication with immensely powerful beings from far beyond.
