Hahaha, yeah, there are a few ways for blind people to read text messages; there's text to speech (and vice versa), there's a technology that turns the messages into Morse code (she'll hear the message but unless someone else understands Morse code, they won't understand it), and then there's a new technology that was developed in Japan... it's a watch of sorts, it plays the message out in braille for her. And I believe I've seen a keyboard (a small one) that some blind people use, each of the buttons is in braille so that the person using it can understand what's being written.
