Jack's slight smile became wider as he greeted the older gentleman. He was distracted for a moment, as he was halted by memories of his mentor. If left alone he'll find himself sinking into thinking about his old home while everyone around him had family, so he was out here to see everyone else's. If he heard correctly the two young girls whom were identified as sisters, were also sisters to someone else under his charge, Luke. Considering how Luke usually is like, and how these sisters seemed to act, he can only imagine what these two, or three as a whole, deal with from each other on a day to day basis.
