Almost every weapon and tool a Fog vessel employs are also made up of nanomaterials and thus they can reconfigure a piece of hardware into something else should the need arise...
The next important aspect of a fog vessel is the wave force armor which essentially stores the energy of anything meaning to damage the fog vessel instead of allowing the energy to do harm... This energy is then stored to be released at a later time or be used to power certain system components... It's important to note that if the stored energy saturates the dimensional fold integral to the system then it cannot absorb the energy of any other attack until it releases the stored energy... This armor can be projected by the fog vessel's ship body and her mental model and also serve as utilitarian tools as panes of f the armour can be brought into existence to serve any number of uses, including personal shields and stepping platforms...

History:

A fast battleship of the fleet of fog which has experienced much in the way of human interaction with a design child called Osakabe Makie. These interactions eventually lead to them developing a close friendship with one another. Among other things she has lost her ship body in a battle with I-401 and have also engaged in combat with the Japanese ground forces, nearly letting her own emotions take a hold of her. Afterwards follows an adventure with Makie, Kirishima and to a lesser extent, Maya since only Maya still has a ship body to put to sea among the three fog vessels. They eventually end up meeting with Japanese officials following tumultuous happenings behind the scenes of both humans and fog...

Personality:

"Curious, analytical, calm and predisposed to communicating with people" Describes Haruna pretty well.
She is among the most human like of all the Fog vessels with mental models due to her extended contact with humans.

History:

She assaulted Yokosuka with Haruna and was also sunk in the process, suffering the worse of it since she basically lost all her nanomaterials and were reduced to her core. Though this was allievated a bit when Haruna lent her some nanomaterials for her to form a makeshift body, a teddy bear named Youtarou. Aside from a few differences owing to her being a teddy bear, her history is intrinsically linked with that of Haruna and Makie...

Personality:

"aggressive, loud, cynical and impatient" Describes Kirishima which looking back at her sister, is almost nearly the polar opposite...
She does display human like characteristics, although that's a bit more questionable since she has spent bout ninety-five percent of the franchise as a teddy bear...

VITA IS MY SENPAI!
EDIT: I might actually just throw in Makie in there as well...
