The next thing he knew, Grafdaka’s drill arm was lying limply on the ground. Without any more of a delay, the Angel of Might throws the mech away with a mighty throw, standing ominously over the battlefield. But just before he could finish them off with his eye beam, he suddenly feels several pricks poking down on him. Turning around he glares at where Ni-Mu is standing, throwing a barrage of swords at him. It barely had an effect on him. But before he could fire again, Zeruel hears the voice of Cydone behind him, warning him to be careful about some ‘spacetime shreddy attacks’, as he quickly attempts to stall the Machina unit by lodging an island at her. If this is how machina operates, he might as well crush them with his own tendrils single-handedly. [@The 42nd Gecko][@Lucius Cypher][@ReaptheMusic][@TheWindel][@Ryonara][@Awesomoman64] But unfortunately for the Laguna Angel, this wouldn’t turn out even remotely in his favor. As soon as Cydone lodged the island, Ni-Mu’s Raison d'Être, was fired at Zeruel’s direction. The cowboy warns him of the incoming attack, but as the Angel then looks behind him, it was clear that it wasn’t the only thing that was aimed directly at him. He counts four separate attacks rushing directly towards him from that angle simultaneously. Henry’s Silver Bullets, Barlog’s Reaper Beam, The Machina Sister’s laser fire, and Graf’s Grind Gear. Bracing for immediate impact, Zeruel tanks the heavy hits as he struggled to keep his ground. While it’s clear that he’ll be coming out with some considerable damage, he was not expecting what was about to happen next. Bastion entered the scene of the battle and aiming her weapon she fires a golden bullet that begins to pierce and rip right through his barrier. It was at that moment when the stress of the beams colliding with Zeruel’s barrier caused a massive explosion that engulfed the Laguna Angel and the nearby units. Dust and smoke flew into the air, along with dirt and debris. Nobody knew what was going on. But behind that cloud, Zeruel was sent flying back until hitting a nearby hill with a thud. The results seemed blatantly clear. The Angel Of Might, the leader of the Laguna Angels, has been utterly pulverised. His bleeding body began to twitch violently as the form seemed to melt away as white yellow lobs began to seemingly disintegrate his body. To the Machina, and perhaps the forces of Hell, Zeruel was dead. Yet for Heaven, this should still be a sign of hpe. Lying at the base of the erupted mountain, Zeruel was still alive, but only by barely. He has taken to his humanoid form, the basic form when interacting or fighting with humankind on the ground. But he's in dire critical condition. While his core is still intact, the rib-cage protecting it has weakened, with some rib-bones showing cracks and tears. Most of his body is also burnt and scarred from the explosion due to the sudden lack of his shields. And his mouth is gurgling blue blood. Clearly he has been beaten back by the full power of the Machina, more so than the demon’s own rather pathetic ways in trying to hurt him. He hasn’t been beaten this way in over 2,000 years. This wasn’t a defeat in Zeruel’s mind… This was humiliation! To let the Machina, a group of rather mortal minds and robots, defeat him so quickly is a complete insult to his entire existence! Yet to be fair, Zeruel didn’t expect the humans to have advanced in their technology. Hell, he hasn’t even fought in a war for at least a century, even refusing to participate in the most recent ones until now. He can be seen as extremely rusty, but also his arrogance and confidence having blinded his own judgement. But at the end of the day, one thing is for sure. These humans, they aren’t just vermin. Not anymore. Now they are a legitimate threat. A threat equal or more so than even Hell itself. And the Angel of Might will make sure that his vengeance shall be fulfilled. But now he lies here, slowly attempting to fight death’s sweet grasp. The only thing keeping him alive was the faint energy signal coming from his still active core, along with bloodcurdling rage and adrenaline. All he needs now… is a healer. And he needs one fast. Yet before anything else can happen, the new Queen Ira silences the two rowdy children as she opens a rift straight to the battle that awaited them. Ghelgath bears his teeth in anger as he glares at the queen. It seemed like she didn’t care that the Ice Lich would not strike him down when he has the chance… then again, everyone else here seems to obey her as well. As she and the rest of Hell’s forces entered the portal, he and Silske were the only ones still in the Throne Room. Both fire and ice stared down one another for a brief moment, with fire breaking the silence. After suggesting to battle another time and somehow having faith in this… new Queen, the barrier instantly retracted, with the ice demons at the front lines slumping over at the barriers’ absence. This entire plan has gone completely south, along with several buttfuckings of humiliation laughing at Ghelgath in the face. But as he stands, he begins to realize the truth. King Rufus isn’t coming back isn’t he? For god knows how long or how being most important, the previous King abandoned Hell and left his throne to any who would achieve it. And it just so happened that this ‘samurai-wannabe’ gained it all for herself. The Lich King looks at the throne for a second, then back at the portal. He simply sighs in defeat. ”Well then…” he hisses to himself, nodding, ”We’ll just see how really effective she is in battle. Hell, I imagine she’s gonna get beaten by that Alexi girl from the Bots. That’ll be ffffffuck-in hillarious.” He then looks at his troops, who had all just gotten up and were awaiting orders. ”Oh fuckin’ chill you pansies.” Ghelgath replies to his troops, ”Looks like we got nothing better else to do. Might as well go into battle. With me, now.” Without a roar of combat, but rather in almost complete silence, Ghelgath and his entire army enter the portal into Arcadia, where the battle has just gotten started… Upon his arrival, he can see Hell’s forces already divided with some going about their own agenda, while some like Henry and Barlog help in taking down the massive Laguna Angel that once loomed over the battlefield. Had Heaven gotten this soft? Or have they just given up in life in the clouds? Of course, you also had that and the fact that the Machina at this point was extremely powerful in their own right. Ghelgath stands near the portal motionlessly before his sergeant came beside him. ”Ghelgath sir.” the toothy lich speaks, ”Your army awaits further orders. What army do you want us to barge into?” The Lich King looks at both angles of the battlefield before responding. ”Heaven appears to be weakened now that the Laguna Angel has taken heavy damage. I doubt it’s dead though, but it’ll be still unwise to further battle him. Regardless, I’m also not sure how long the Machina will “ally” with us against him. Send half of our men to each army and scout them out. Attack when there’s an opening. I’ll create more troops once I gather… my composure.” The Ice Sergeant nods as he splits the army into two, with one legion heading towards Heaven’s direction, with the other towards the Machina. Hell’s icy wind has finally reached into the tropical lands of Arcadia.
