Oh, Satori's good enough at it to plant it in normal people's heads without them noticing. Alaira's damaged mind is extremely sensitive to it though. I should also point out that Alaira is much much easier to defeat in combat like that. She can't focus so her skill is pointless, and even her brute strength is lessened. Tl;Dr, Alaira can't kill anyone elses characters like that.
