I'd just like you to amend his alignment to Lawful Evil, and replace mentions of "the Crux Empire" with the "Crux Tenebre" to bring it in line with everyone else. Aside from that, accepted.

So as far as First Mate goes, I've had a friend of mine inform me that the position is in fact synonymous with Quartermaster. On a ship, the First Officer is a delegation by the crew to represent them to the captain (a necessity on larger ships) and is the only person with authority to impeach the captain (anyone else would be committing mutiny). Those are some considerations to keep in mind if you plan to choose someone from among you for the position. Hopefully not someone currently wearing too many hats.
