The lack of trust in her suggestion to stay on the road would probably make their friendship a bit sour. 

Maybe that was the plan. Maybe she's gonna die in the forest as this RP slowly turns into one-forth survival horror as she slowly but surely meets her demise, watching the only companions she has perish trying to defend her as she scurries away in hope of finding something to keep herself living. Success or failure... Both being very optional.
