Tora shook his head at Tony's offer, giving him a 'No thank you' look before grinning amused. He had never really been one for relationships before, usually too busy or not caring enough to find a partner. Add on to that the fact that Jocelyn was quite literally a princess and there was just no way the two of them could work. They were basically of different social classes, not that either of these two knew that. He was really a glorified soldier and she was royalty, those didn't mix at all. In the event that he was successful, as he hoped he would be, there would be little time for a relationship to develop anyways as they would need to hurry back home. Once home there was even less of a chance of their being anything too. At most he might be assigned to her as her bodyguard, but that would be the extent of their partnership. If they were ever to become romantically involved and be found out he'd be stripped of his post and most likely his title, and she would be taken away from him in a heartbeat. Nope, not worth the trouble. This was all not even counting the fact that she was really kind of a sucky person. Sure, she was fun to argue with, but as for dating her? Nope, a thousand times nope. Turning his attention then onto Jocelyn he did his utmost to let her rant. It was funny to watch this little girl fume at him, and he wondered if she might lash out at him. For a second there it looked like she was seriously contemplating it, priming to smack him with her food tray or something. For everyone's benefit she calmed herself enough not to do that, still giving him a few choice words in place of a smack. She was right about nearly everything there, save for being her keeper. Now that he was aware of who she was he most certainly would be keeping an eye on her, he had to. Sooner or later too he'd need to confront her about everything as well, fill her in about the life she was supposed to be leading as opposed to this. If she hated him now then just wait until he uprooted her entire existence. Her life was literally about to be flipped upside down and the poor girl had no idea. Tora almost felt sorry for her then, not that he could empathize with her. He'd always been the same person, always lived the same kind of life. He knew who he was, and there was no question about it. This life of hers though, the one Jocelyn had been brought up in, it was all a facade. Man, her life was going to get really lousy soon. In spite of his efforts to keep her there for the duration of lunch Jocelyn was on her way out, not even bothering to glance back as she stalked out of the room. Well crap, should he go chase her down? If it were any other place maybe he would, but this was school. A bunch of teenagers, nothing that would require his assistance. At worst she might be approached by some bozo with an over-active libido looking for a quickie, and he was sure she could handle that on her own. Nah, he'd let her go sulk, it was a waste of breath to try getting her to settle down anyways. If nothing else he'd see her again tomorrow for Chemistry, if not before then. Maybe he should have checked her schedule again, or thought to bother to remember it. Then he'd know for certain where she was going next. "She likes me...? Not quite what I was going for with all of that." It couldn't be like like, and it was hard to believe she didn't hate him by now. This kid seemed to think she didn't loathe him though, which made Tora confused. The other kid had more to say by the sounds of it, and he almost couldn't believe what he was hearing. So allegedly her mother had tried to kill her? He must be referring to her adoptive mother then, though as far as they knew that was her biological one. Still, that bit of information had been kept from him, he was completely unaware of that. Suddenly her attitude seemed a bit justified, though he didn't intend to take mercy on her for that. Frankly it was probably best he acted as though he didn't know, otherwise she'd find out that he knew. "I didn't know any of that... Huh..." Perhaps he should go look into her story a bit more, maybe he could use some of it. Pushing himself up from the table Tora adjusted his glasses, smirking down at Tony as he slung his back over his shoulder. "Maybe it is good news for me, how should I know though? I'd go make sure your girlfriend is okay though dude, she seemed kinda pissed for some reason." Chuckling to himself he slipped his hands into his pockets, leaving his tray where it was as he left the cafe. Three more classes, then off to do who knows what. With the princess' identity now known he'd probably follow her home, just to know where she lived. Provided he had nothing else to do that evening he may well hang around for a little while too, to get an idea of what she was like and maybe just to keep an eye on her as well. Things were going to become a little more difficult from hereon out, but at least he didn't have to keep searching anymore.
