In this scenario, Fyror does feel protective but he also knows that picking a fight will only make matters worse. The more strategic way he will go about this is to request to dance with Millicent next as a means of getting her away from Lord Rutherford. His number one priority would be to get the "victim" to safety and engage the aggressor if it is necessary to secure the safety of others. Considering Lord Rutherford is currently not going around physically harming people, Fyror couldn't justify attacking the man.
