Toons would be more or less the same. You said yourself they don't really utilize the extra that much, maybe a castel if you really need spot removal, but otherwise they just use their maindeck lineup. 

You're correct about floodgate not working on Link monsters, though, since they absolutely [i]can not[/i] be in defense position no matter what.
