[@Crimmy]Having DM'd a Persona RP previously for several years (based around P4's system), I have some interest here. A few questions before I commit, however: 1) What sort of combat system can we expect? Will it be freeform, or will you structure it closer to a turn-based system like in the games? Either way, will all or many of the iconic mechanics from Persona 5 remain, such as One More, Hold Up, Baton Toss (or whatever it's called), etc? 2) How many PCs do you expect to run? Our game had 20 PCs (one for each Arcana except Judgment and World), and it got fairly convoluted at times. I would suspect you plan to have a smaller group, but is there a cap? 3) As I mentioned, I ran an RP on Persona, and I structured the combat to feel as close to P4's as possible. I have a (rather complicated) spreadsheet that works for P4's mechanics. If you need resources for running combat, let me know. The sheet would require some work to convert it to P5 mechanics (specifically for physical elements, the new status effect names, and new abilities/elements). However, it's definitely a strong start since the core mechanics have not significantly changed that much since P4. With that said, I have two fully-developed PCs. One is a Chariot Arcana (Persona = Eligor) spear-wielding trenchcoat-wearing lovable oaf named Ryobi Ito who plays basketball and is dealing with a single mom on the edge of poverty. The other is a Hanged Man Arcana (Persona = Yatsufusa) miko named Kimiko Maita who wields a katana and loves singing and has a super-religious overbearing father. EDIT: I see you already have a Chariot. I can switch Ryobi to Strength fairly easily, as his story also revolves around personal internal Strength. I would just have to modify his Persona, possibly to Oni.
1) Fighting's definitely going to be more freeform; I don't tend to try and implement the actual game mechanics in a text form that much, so for example, "One More" would be less "enemy was weak to that Zio you chucked, go again!" and more "enemy got downed because of its weakness to electricity, take advantage of that and hit again!". Probably not going to have something based around the "Hold Up" mechanic given that it's contextually more Persona 5. "Baton Pass" is a bit too mechanical to be put in a freeform system. 2) Write and I would be lucky to fill the entirety of the Major Arcana, ahaha, but group size isn't one of the big issues. In the last iteration I did split the party up into dealing with two halves of the plot, so we could probably do that again if it does get into too much of an issue. Have players handle separate goals which could contribute to the progression of the game. 3) That actually sounds pretty interesting, although right now I'm not really in need of any major resources. If things do need a bit extra, I'll thankfully take you up on that offer. Although you'd might have to adjust it for the mishmash of Persona 1 and 2 elements with the later games. On your PCs, both seem like they would be pretty interesting to see interact with the others (although personally, I'm biased towards seeing how Kimiko functions, given that [@Plank Sinatra] is likely also using his Kimiko character, so the contrast between the two Kimikos might be fun.)
